Faye Vaughn's mind raced, and she blurted out, "I'm going to your second brother's law firm."
Finn Hawthorne looked at her suspiciously, then at his second brother, Vincent Hawthorne. "Why are you going to a law firm?"
Faye Vaughn said nonchalantly, "I have some lingering legal issues from a previous acting job that need to be dealt with. I'll be right back, just wait for me here."
Finn Hawthorne's brow furrowed. 'Something isn't quite right.'
'She was so worried about her safety just a little while ago, and now she's going out with Second Brother?'
"Let's go." Vincent Hawthorne gave his third brother a cool glance, showing no intention of explaining, and started walking toward the door.
Faye Vaughn followed, her bag on her back.
Two bodyguards blocked the elevator entrance. "Miss Vaughn, President Hawthorne gave orders that you are not to go out whenever you please."
