Right up until the end of the workday, Silas Grant showed no signs of displeasure.
He seemed very happy that she had come.
But Mia Grant seemed distracted.
By the time they left the company's underground parking garage, the sky outside had already darkened.
Eric had booked a restaurant for the two of them. On the way there, Silas Grant took a call.
Mia Grant couldn't understand which foreign language he was speaking, so she simply stared out the window in a daze.
The call continued until they had parked.
Mia Grant sat and waited for a bit, but she grew impatient and decided to get out of the car first.
Eric led her inside.
On the way, Eric carefully observed her expression. He couldn't shake the feeling that she was a little down.
Of course, Silas Grant didn't seem to be in a great mood either.
"Did you and Mr. Grant have a fight?" he asked.
Mia Grant snapped out of it and looked at him in surprise. "No, why would you say that?"
