Mi Feifei opened her mouth to say something, but Chu Yao didn't give her the chance. She continued, "Those little tricks of the industry might work on Ah Ze, Miss Fei'er, but there's no need to use them on me, is there? Don't worry, though. I won't mention any of this to Ah Ze. After all, I have no desire to keep bringing up another woman in front of my own husband."
After speaking, Chu Yao gave Mi Feifei another brilliant smile and brushed past her.
Mi Feifei froze completely. It wasn't that she didn't know Chu Yao was a sharp girl, but she never expected her to be so blunt.
This left Mi Feifei at a loss for words, standing rooted to the spot. She was still standing there when Chu Yao came out of the restroom.
Their eyes met. Chu Yao lifted her chin, gave a smiling nod, and prepared to leave.
As Chu Yao brushed past her again, Mi Feifei suddenly spoke. "What did you mean by 'husband'?"
