After the recording session ended, Chu Yao was leaving when she saw Mi Feifei standing by the studio entrance.
Hearing her footsteps, Mi Feifei seemed to snap back to reality. She looked at Chu Yao with a peculiar expression.
Chu Yao approached her openly, but Mi Feifei showed no sign of wanting to talk. She remained perfectly still, only speaking the instant they brushed past each other. "Miss Chu, we have a long road ahead of us."
Chu Yao paused for a moment, but Mi Feifei had already walked off.
The recording session had run long, and by now, the sky was completely dark.
Chu Yao returned to her car. The moment she pulled the door open, she saw Lu Xize sitting inside. He had a laptop on his lap, his fingers flying across the keyboard. Upon seeing her, he quickly snapped the laptop shut, tossed it aside, and reached out, pulling her close.
"What are you doing here?"
"I came to pick you up."
