[IRIS POV]
"What the fuck―!" One of the men yelled, but even that was quickly cut off by a gurgle of pain.
I felt the very air around me shiver. That was all the warning I had before I felt a great hulking beast land on top of me. Its coat was as dark as the night, and it emitted a low growl. Screams of fear filled the air. One of the men's arms started to bleed, nicked by the wolf's powerful claws.
"A… A… It's a wolf!"
"Have you ever seen a wolf this big before?!"
"It's a monster!"
My heart pounded so heavily in my chest that I thought it was about to break free from my ribcage. I panted heavily, still trying to calm myself down as the wolf growled and snarled at the men, forcing them to back away.
They trembled like leaves in the wind, their legs shaking so dramatically that they almost turned into a blur.
