"Can you?" I narrowed my eyes at my best friend, wondering just what on earth she was keeping from me.
If she wasn't staying with Jade, where was she staying? And for weeks at that.
"Please tell me you didn't go back to our old apartment,"
"No, of course not,"
Especially after what had happened in that place with Gavin. I shuddered at the memory. Gavin was dead, but that didn't mean Devin couldn't know about our apartment and have men watching the place.
"Uhhh, guys?" Jade cut in, glancing at both of us nervously.
Sasha leaned forward, eyes wide with curiosity. "Hold up. What the hell is going on?"
"Oh, it's nothing," Annette mumbled. "I just wanted my own privacy, and as much as I like you and Finnegan, you two making mushy faces at each other was kicking me in the gut,"
She was lying. Annette's lower lip always quivered when she did. Sasha and Jade ate it up though but I knew my bestfriend.
"Aww, don't worry, Annie, you'll meet someone cute soon," Sasha piped in.
