Chapter 10: The Triangle Ship and Chaos in Zero-G
Lin Yan climbed into his Dukingpot—aka the Winnerpot ship, the tiny pod that could barely fit him and his resources.
He stared at the marked location on his map: a mysterious triangular ship, glinting in the asteroid field like a warning sign screaming: "Do not touch me."
"Master, entrance to the ship has been detected. Probability of danger: 83%," Star said calmly.
Lin Yan groaned.
"83%? Star… who writes these percentages? And can we round it to 'terrifyingly dangerous' for dramatic effect?"
"Negative, Master. Percentages are precise. Dramatic effect not included in survival protocol."
Lin Yan adjusted his space suit and muttered, "Fine… let's get this over with."
As he approached the triangular ship, a mechanical voice boomed:
"Captain detected. Entrance protocol activated."
The massive doors opened with a whoosh, revealing the interior. Lin Yan stepped inside, trying to appear calm.
He immediately noticed a series of locked doors labeled with random words like:
Asses Shooo Shooo
Portals of Denial
Absolutely No Entry
"Access denied," the ship's interface kept repeating as Lin Yan tried each door.
"Great… my own ship hates me," he muttered.
"Master, your frustration levels are increasing. Shall I record this for posterity?"
Lin Yan glared. "Star… you wish."
Finally, he reached the Captain's Room—a massive space with a single, glowing chair. He plopped down.
"Star… where's that stupid robot? I ordered it to mine last time!"
"You never told it to stop after the last order, Master. Also… it might be hiding from you out of fear."
Lin Yan threw his hands up.
"Out of fear?! Star… my robot is scared of me?!"
"Confirmed, Master. Highly likely. Suggest you apologize for trauma inflicted."
Lin Yan groaned.
"Apologize to a metal cube… right. Makes total sense."
"Positive. Also… silence is recommended when dealing with inanimate objects that refuse to comply."
Lin Yan rolled his eyes and muttered, "Silence… the best answer for a fool, according to a talking AI."
He punched the nearby iron wall in frustration, glowing energy flaring around him… and promptly fainted.
Star muttered dryly:
"Master has collapsed. Vital signs stable. Embarrassment and rage levels at critical. I recommend a stiff cup of coffee or a lobotomy. Optional: both."
Lin Yan groaned on the floor, still glowing faintly.
"This… is going to be a long day," he muttered, half-awake.
Star whispered:
"Master… welcome to the triangle of chaos."
