Ava's Pov:
I was in a robe staring out at the city through the tall glass windows of the suite.
Leon was still in bed. I wanted to explore the hotel but I didn't want to bother him. I knew the next few weeks were going to be stressful for him and I wanted him to enjoy his last full day at the hotel.
I cooked this time. Even though we could've easily gone to the restaurant again. I wanted us to have something special, something that involved just us.
I made something simple but I still put my all into it.
He walked out of the bedroom minutes before I was done.
He sat at the dining table staring at me like I was some trophy. It made me feel worth something knowing he could look at me with so much admiration.
I placed our food on the table in silence. But the smiles we shared told us everything we needed to know.
I sat down and picked up my spoon, attempting to feed him.
He opened his mouth and chewed for barely five seconds before his face literally lit up.
