Leon's Pov:
That morning, I woke up at nearly 5 o'clock. I left a note on the side of the bed for Ava so she'd know I went to the office early.
It wasn't much, but it was enough. I told myself I'd be back before she even started missing me. The plan was simple. Go to the office, fix whatever needs fixing, then come back and extend our stay. Finish the weekend properly.
When I got there, I saw Emily in her office looking scared for her life.
I walked in and she jumped up immediately like she had seen a ghost.
"M-Mr Prescott, good morning."
"Is everything okay?"
I dreaded asking that question because I knew nothing was okay and I didn't want to hear it, but I still had to.
She shook her head.
"Spit it out Emily, I don't have time. What was the meaning of the text you sent yesterday?"
"Someone tried hacking into the system but we changed the codes so they couldn't get in."
"Good. So what's the problem?"
