Chapter 158 - A Guaranteed Ten-Pull?

After a "warm and friendly" consultation with Aragog, leader of the Acromantulas, Dudley walked smoothly out of the Forbidden Forest. The Acromantulas "enthusiastically" escorted him all the way to the edge of their territory.

Dudley did not come out alone. He also brought out several Acromantulas, which were currently inside a red-and-white ball, a magical-creature ball, hanging at his waist.

This had been the true purpose of his trip to the Forbidden Forest.

In fact, there had been no need to go through so much trouble. But who told that group of Acromantulas to leave no room for discussion? In that case, he could only use "reason" on them.

In terms of effect, it was still quite good.

After leaving the Acromantulas' territory, Dudley did not rush back to the castle. Instead, he walked toward the other side of the Forbidden Forest.

He moved very quickly. With Data Eyes active, the Forbidden Forest was like his own home.

A large number of magical creatures lived in the Forbidden Forest: three-headed dogs from Greece, Manticores from Persia, and Occamies from eastern India. Not to mention magical creatures such as mountain trolls, ordinary trolls, unicorns, Thestrals, centaurs, and Hippogriffs. It was said that even Sphinxes unique to Egypt lived in the Forbidden Forest.

Of course, it was also said that Dark creatures such as werewolves and vampires lived there, though this had not been confirmed.

If you could think of it, this place probably had one.

Dudley had even once suspected that the so-called Forbidden Forest was actually the back garden, or perhaps the zoo, built by the four founders of Hogwarts, where they had dumped all their collections. Otherwise, where had so many magical creatures from all over the world come from, and why had they gathered here? More importantly, most of them could live together in relative harmony.

It was frankly absurd.

Of course, these powerful magical creatures all had a very strong sense of territory. They would not easily leave their territories, but once someone entered their territory, they would retaliate fiercely.

Yet now, as Dudley crossed their territories, he miraculously did not suffer even the slightest attack.

The magical creatures collectively chose to ignore him.

Magical creatures were sensitive beings, and most of them were not unintelligent. Especially since Dudley was still covered in the scent of Acromantula blood, no one wanted to provoke him.

Not all magical creatures were called Acromantulas. Their skulls were not that hard.

Before long, Dudley passed through layer after layer of obstacles and crossed nearly half the Forbidden Forest, finally arriving at his destination.

A certain plain deep within the Forbidden Forest.

Two magical creatures lived here.

A Norwegian Ridgeback and a unicorn.

"Long time no see, Charizard, My Little Pony." Dudley greeted the two magical creatures warmly.

"Roar!"

"Neigh!"

The two responded warmly as well. This was especially true of the Norwegian Ridgeback, which lowered its head and immediately leaned toward the pouch at Dudley's waist.

If its body had been a little smaller, it would have looked exactly like a puppy looking for food.

"All right, all right. I know. This is yours." Dudley smiled and shook his head, taking a bag of feed from his pouch.

Charizard excitedly spat a mouthful of dragon breath toward the sky, then began eating in great gulps.

At that moment, Dudley felt something lightly bump his back.

He turned and discovered that it was the unicorn, looking at him with pitiful eyes.

"You get some too. You get some too." Helplessly, Dudley took out another bag of feed.

Unfortunately, he still could not tame magical creatures on the level of Norwegian Ridgebacks and unicorns. Otherwise, they would become important combat strength.

A basilisk, or Arbok, fighting a Norwegian Ridgeback, or Charizard. Just thinking about it was rather exciting.

His opponent was a thousand-year-old basilisk and Voldemort's Horcrux. He had to make some preparations before going.

This was also Dudley's purpose in coming here.

'My Little Pony.'

Dudley's gaze turned toward the unicorn. It was the key.

He slowly extended his arm toward the unicorn's neck, then toward the horn on its head.

Generally speaking, except for pure maidens, unicorns refused to let any male approach them, especially human males.

But Dudley was an exception.

There was not a single magical creature able to refuse the magical-creature feed he made.

As he gently stroked the horn on My Little Pony's forehead, Dudley revealed a satisfied smile.

The unicorn merely gave him a faint look, then lowered its head and continued eating.

How humble could someone become for one mouthful of food?

It was clearly a male unicorn, yet it had not even rejected a feminine name like My Little Pony.

Unicorns were very clever. They could understand human speech.

After touching the horn, Dudley was still not satisfied. He set his sights on the unicorn's hoof.

He lifted one of its front hooves, then began rubbing it.

Yes. He had deliberately come here specifically to rub a unicorn's hoof.

According to legend, touching a unicorn's hoof and horn brought good luck. This was Dudley's purpose.

Dudley had summarized his previous failed draws. As a terribly unlucky player, simply washing his hands was useless if he wanted to change his fate. He had to find something that carried luck, so he could draw good fortune into himself.

That was why he had not rushed to draw recently. Instead, he had saved draw chances one after another. Now, he had accumulated exactly ten draws, including the two draws obtained from reorganizing the houses.

This time, he was preparing to go big.

With the blessing of a lucky horseshoe and horn, Dudley felt full of SSR luck.

So Dudley once again activated the draw mode.

'Come on. This time, it is a ten-pull.'

The old-fashioned lottery machine slowly turned.

The draw began.

First draw.

"Eight-Point Boxing LV1."

His luck was not bad. The first draw gave him a fairly practical skill. His only LV5 skill was even a variant of this one.

Second draw.

"Founder's Boxing LV1."

Er... that was still fine, right?

It was the kind of technique used by a martial-arts hero who brought his own theme music to every fight. In truth, compared with this fighting style, Dudley wanted the sound system even more.

Once the BGM started, he would be unstoppable.

Even a god would have to be hammered into the ground.

Third draw.

"Party Game Fist LV1."

Best not to discuss this one in detail.

Fourth draw.

"Tiger Style LV1."

Skip.

Fifth draw.

"Point-Blank Chain Boxing LV1."

Another martial art? Dudley's face showed signs of darkening.

In truth, Point-Blank Chain Boxing was not bad. It just felt a little lacking. It would have been better if it were the over-the-top action-movie version. Maybe then he could fire off laser beams with a "whoosh, whoosh, whoosh."

Forget it. It was still better than an unbent spoon.

Had he stumbled into a martial-arts banner today? Everything was a martial art. Did the system think his fighting techniques were too weak and that only boxing was useful?

Sixth draw.

"Volleyball Fist LV1."

Seventh draw.

"One tasty leek."

Finally, it was not a martial art. It felt as if he had pulled on a martial-arts banner and only kept getting fighting techniques.

But...

Dudley looked at the leek in his hand, as thick as a baby's wrist, and fell into thought.

It had an exceptionally long and hard stalk. If used as a weapon, it could easily strike an enemy's vital points.

It looked like the signature weapon of a certain duck Pokémon.

Eighth draw.

"Transponder Snail Creation LV1."

Ninth draw.

Also not a martial art.

"Joint-Breaking Grapple — Eighteen Takedowns LV2."

"As long as it has bones, I can dislocate them."

Only the final draw remained.

'My SSR luck, explode with full power!'

Amid Dudley's prayer, the slot machine slowly stopped turning.

A brilliant golden light entered his vision.

In Dudley's ears, it seemed as if a surprised male voice rang out.

"Whoa, a golden legendary!"

It was still a martial art.

Only, this was not an ordinary martial art. It was a top-class fighting style from another world.

"Cosmo Beast Style — Mighty Bull-Breaking Fist LV1."
