His hands struck in rapid succession, his fists moving faster and faster.
In that moment, it was as if a thousand fists had struck at once, and countless Acromantulas flew into the air.
Hamon Overdrive Barrage.
"What? What happened?"
Because Aragog could not see, he could only hear the wails of his children and smell the thick scent of spider ichor in the air.
This made him desperate to know what had happened. Unfortunately, no spider told him.
In only a few breaths, a circle had been carved out around Dudley. All around him, Acromantula corpses covered the ground.
The Acromantula colony, dangerous enough to receive an XXXXX rating, could do absolutely nothing to him.
The Acromantulas looked fearfully at Dudley, whose body gave off golden light. Their mouthparts kept clicking and squeaking. Every time Dudley took a step forward, they instinctively retreated.
"What exactly happened?"
Aragog's voice was trembling. He smelled it. That thick scent of blood could only be...
Dudley's large hand came to rest lightly on Aragog's black-haired head.
"Can you listen properly now? I think we can continue negotiating."
"You killed my children." Aragog was both shocked and furious. He roared, but did not dare move carelessly.
He instinctively sensed danger. The hand on his head only needed the slightest pressure to crush him.
That was something even Hagrid could not do.
Strong. Extremely strong.
But was this really a wizard? It was simply... far too un-wizardlike.
Aragog began regretting why he had provoked such a monster.
"You may continue refusing if you wish. I think the Acromantula colony can be wiped from the Forbidden Forest today. You are too dangerous."
"The choice is in your hands."
As Dudley spoke, he revealed a mouthful of unnaturally white teeth. Lockhart's white teeth were the kind enhanced by special effects, a sparkling kind of white. Dudley's teeth were pure white, with a chilling neatness that looked as if they had been flattened by a road roller.
Unfortunately, Aragog could not see this scene. Otherwise, from this moment on, he would have known what a smiling demon looked like.
'Which one of us is more dangerous?!'
After a brief silence, Aragog slowly spoke.
"I believe we should hear your terms."
Very good. It seemed magical creatures could also be reasoned with.
Dudley nodded, revealing a satisfied expression.
On the path of convincing others with reason and virtue, he had taken another step forward. He had already developed it into convincing magical creatures with reason and virtue.
"Hiss, hiss, hiss!"
At that moment, several giant spiders, slightly smaller than Aragog, suddenly jumped out. They bared their venomous fangs and made sharp sounds. Along with a burst of rustling, another group of Acromantulas gathered.
"Hiss, hiss, hiss! Aragog, you are too soft-hearted!"
"Hiss, hiss, hiss, hiss! He is only one human. Why should we submit? We are the strongest creatures, Acromantulas!"
"Hiss, hiss, hiss, hiss! You are no longer worthy to lead the colony, old thing!"
"You will bring disaster upon the entire colony!"
Aragog angrily and excitedly waved his front pincers at the newly arrived Acromantulas. But the action had no meaning. These Acromantulas had no intention of listening to him.
"It seems your situation is not very good. Your descendants seem to want to usurp you."
Dudley slowly withdrew the hand resting on Aragog's head.
"You understand them?"
"Acromantula language. I happen to know a little."
Knowing magical creature languages was simply too useful.
"As part of the deal, I'll help you clear out the traitors."
As Dudley slowly pressed his hands together, the transmutation circles on the backs of his hands gave off a faint glow. Countless earthen hands suddenly rose from the ground and seized the traitorous Acromantulas, just as they had once grabbed the Cornish pixies.
In fact, Transfiguration could produce the same effect. Of course, the caster would have to be an extremely powerful wizard, at least at Professor McGonagall's level.
A faint red gleam flashed across the Philosopher's Stone ring on Dudley's finger. The earth beneath his feet began trembling slightly, and stones on the ground started bouncing. Along with rumbling booms, a huge hand also made of earth slowly emerged, supporting Dudley as it gradually rose into the air. As it continued rising, the giant hand grew larger and larger, until it was almost large enough to cover the entire Acromantula colony.
Then it descended from the sky.
If that slap landed, even if the Acromantula colony survived, it would be badly crushed. As for the traitorous Acromantulas caught by the mud hands, they would certainly die.
The traitorous giant spiders naturally would not sit and wait for death. They extended their sharp venomous fangs and bit fiercely into the hands holding them. Their venom sacs operated at full strength, and lethal venom instantly poured through their fangs. Even a tiny amount of Acromantula venom could kill an African elephant on the spot. Unfortunately, these hands were made of earth. As elemental constructs, they came with poison immunity and took no poison damage.
The Acromantulas' fangs had no destructive power against them, and their venom had no effect at all. At most, it changed the mud hands from dark brown to inky green-black.
Mm. Mud hands had evolved into poison-mud hands.
Aside from that, nothing else happened.
The traitorous giant spiders could only watch helplessly as that giant hand descended from the sky.
Boom.
The entire ground trembled.
The whole Forbidden Forest shook.
Even Hogwarts Castle, far in the distance, felt a faint vibration.
Countless unknown birds were frightened into the sky. The magical creatures living in the Forbidden Forest all looked toward the Acromantulas' gathering place.
Deep wariness appeared in their eyes.
Somewhere in the Forbidden Forest, a centaur looked toward the Acromantulas' territory and asked his companions, "What happened over there?"
Another centaur stared at the sky for a long time before slightly shaking his head. "The stars said nothing."
One centaur snorted while sternly warning another who was preparing to step forward. "No matter what happened, it has nothing to do with us centaurs. Do not do anything unnecessary, Firenze."
In another deep part of the Forbidden Forest, a unicorn that had originally been lowering its head to graze suddenly raised its head. It looked toward the giant spiders' territory and neighed repeatedly, seeming somewhat excited. It was worth mentioning that the mane at the back of its neck was rather short.
Before long, a huge Norwegian Ridgeback slowly descended from the sky, landing beside the unicorn.
By all rights, these two kinds of magical creatures should never stand together. Norwegian Ridgebacks had very explosive tempers, and unicorns were extremely stubborn. One ate grass. The other ate meat. Yet they stood together as if it were perfectly natural.
The enormous palm pressed into the ground, as if the earth itself had been slapped, forming a giant pit of unknown depth.
The spiders that had betrayed Aragog happened to be directly beneath the palm.
Dudley stood on that enormous hand with his arms crossed before his chest. Golden sparks constantly flashed around him, and the phantom of a giant appeared behind him. It was as if a true god had descended to earth.
From that moment on, not a single Acromantula dared to step forward.
