Even though they were now standing far away from the two women, Ellen still wanted to hold her friend's hand tightly before she was called to give her opening remarks. She gazed at his charming, handsome face from the side, her eyes sparkling as she slowly swirled the glass. Curious about how her friend would react to knowing she was the one who secretly solved the problem at the game location.
"Where have you been? I was actually waiting for you," Flint asked anxiously.
"Are you worried about me?" Ellen replied with a mischievous smile.
Flint took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. "Your team and I have been trying to contact you for a while. But it seems your phone is dead again."
"Sorry, I didn't mean to worry you. But the reason I'm late today is because I had to take care of something at the clubhouse."
His right eyebrow raised. "Is something serious going on?"
