Ellen was never usually late to important events or meetings. Therefore, it was no surprise that Flint was worried about her being late for the first time. Hearing those simple words made her heart race. She lowered her head and stared at her fingernails.
"Are you really that afraid I'll forget this important day?" she asked softly.
Flint swallowed nervously. He admitted it wasn't really about that. He was afraid something major would happen that would cause his best friend to disappear without a trace.
"You can't possibly forget this important day." His right eyebrow raised. "You're officially a permanent employee of Fantasia Star Studio. There's no way you'd suddenly act careless."
"Because I'm forgetful!" She finally realized the unexpected words that had escaped her friend's lips. Her eyes widened. "Wait a minute. Am I a permanent employee at Fantasia Star Studio?"
