Several days passed. Finally, Ellen was allowed to leave the hospital. As a promise, Flint invited all his closest friends to his favorite restaurant for dinner to celebrate his victory. Each of them sat next to their partner.
Having not gone anywhere for so long, Ellen followed wherever Flint went. It could be argued that Ellen didn't actually need to be hospitalized for days. It was just that Flint was being too overbearing with her, making her completely obligated.
"By the way, Flint, how is my team doing at the office?"
Hearing his girlfriend suddenly ask a work-related question, Flint pursed his lips. "Why are you suddenly talking about work in the middle of our lunch?"
Ellen laughed softly. "I was just worried that my work would be neglected because I'd been on leave for too long."
"Besides, you are not allowed to come to work even though you are allowed to leave the hospital."
Her eyes widened. "What?"
"You still haven't fully recovered."
