Flint felt hopeless after hearing Ellen's frank answer about his future plans. His face remained gloomy. He had been trying his best to make Ellen happy, but she still didn't want to marry him.
He was also aware that if he were Ellen, he would have given the same answer. Ellen had a trauma she couldn't forget. Therefore, hearing the unexpected answer, he didn't dare protest. He preferred to remain silent rather than further fracturing their relationship.
Ellen noticed Flint's expression suddenly turned gloomy in the midst of their casual conversation. Guilt welled up inside her. She took the initiative to get him a piece of watermelon.
"This is for you."
Flint smiled faintly, holding a slice of watermelon his girlfriend had given him. "If you chose the watermelon, it would be sweet."
Lydia was amazed by Flint's sweet talk. "Ellen, you were too much to reject Flint just now! He's so sweet." She took a bite of the watermelon. "Do I need to take Flint away from you?"
"No way!"
