Chapter 5 - The Lotus was right there.

"I really need that job." Manmayi told herself as she checked herself in the mirror with the potential outfits she could wear.

"I hope this makes an impression." She said holding up a formal black office wear.

She really needed that job for survival.

"Shit!" She ran to the kitchen when she remembered her eggs were still cooking.

"Not my breakfast!" She served herself.

"Everything's done I guess?" She checked herself in the mirror one last time and headed out.

She called her Amma as she walked out.

*On call*

"Amma!" She called out.

"Are you going for the interview that you mentioned?" Her Amma questioned.

"Yeah Amma."

"Did you take everything?"

"Yeah Amma, I took everything." She reassured.

"You sure?" Her Amma asked.

"Yeah Amma!"

"Don't worry, you are gonna rock it. Grandma has been praying since the morning. Just don't stress out." Thus, her Amma made her feel home so easily.

"Thanks ma! And yeah say hi to Paati for me." She smiled a little thinking about her cute grumpy granny.

"Aah, well what about your sweet brothers?" Let's say the whole phone call was her Amma throwing questions at her one after another.

"I video called them last night and Hari had so much to talk about. Don't worry I'll call them again when I come back." She informed.

"You better!" Her amma gave out a chuckle.

Manmayi also replied to her mother with a chuckle.

"I got to go now, love you maaa." Manmayi yelled out her love.

"Love you too. Be safe." Her mom was just the right amount of sweet.

YongEul's dark circles were still so visible.

"Renounce all the interviews we have for today." Walking towards his cabin he commanded.

"Why sir?" Mr. Choi asked, walking behind him.

"Grandfather is visiting. He said he wanted to monitor." YongEul is now seated.

"You got it." Mr. Choi immediately took his phone out.

"We can't let my grandfather interview, if then we won't have staff at all." YongEul blurted out without even looking.

Mr. Choi gave him a small laugh for which YongEul smiled.

"And also please book me a flight to Gimhae" he finally looked up.

Manmayi walked into the building.

She noticed how there were workers.

The workers moved the historical artifacts to their specified slots.

She looked around in awe.

The first two sections were completely made.

There was some mess as she looked farther.

She made her way to the place which mentioned reception.

There was lady, sitting in the cabin.

Busy in her works.

"Hello, I am here for the interview for the curatorial assistant. Can you please tell me where I should report?" Manmayi made sure she smiled.

The lady looked up.

She greeted Manmayi with a warm smile.

"Yeah sure ma'am!" That lady quickly browsed her system.

Manmayi waited.

She read the lady's expression.

Her smile suddenly fainted.

"I am so sorry ma'am that all the interviews are postponed to next week!" Manmayi's face dropped.

"I am so sorry for our inconvenience! Maybe you should come by next week or I'll inform you?" The lady was clearly sorry for Manmayi.

Hearing the lady, she said, "yeah please?"

"Do you have a resume?" The lady asked.

"Yeah I have already emailed it." Manmayi spoke.

"I am so sorry for the inconveniences and I'll make sure you are updated about the dates" The lady bowed a little.

Manmayi returned the bow and left with a smile.

At the same thread of time, YongEul walked around the building.

He commanded the subordinates to make changes on particular things as he walked.

There were so many things to be done before his grandfather could find the faults himself.

He walked fast, looking things around.

He saw a lady at the reception.

"Wait!" He halted his steps.

That woman looked different.

He took a couple steps back.

"It's her" he exclaimed.

"Sir! What are you talking about?" Mr. Choi asked as he only heard some whispers.

YongEul's eyes widened as he saw her face.

She was exactly how he met her in his dreams.

His heart raced.

He panicked a little when he noticed that she was leaving.

"No! Wait!" He rushed down stairs.

Suddenly his way was blocked by some workers moving a huge historical piece across the room.

He knew if he anyhow damaged this piece as he rushed, he's going to be in big trouble.

He scooted himself when the workers left the spot.

He ran.

"No! No! No!" He panted as he reached the reception.

"Where is she?" YongEul noticed that she was gone.

Devastation was painted on his face.

"Good morning sir!" YongEul turned to face the voice.

It was of the lady in the reception.

She bowed to him.

"Ha! Yeah good morning!" He greeted back.

He was still looking around.

"Wait!" He remembered suddenly.

"Did someone come by?" He enquired the lady.

"What?" The lady was confused.

She judged his panting and his desperation.

"Has anyone come here for anything?" He asked again.

"Yeah, a lady just came in" the reception lady reported.

"Yeah! Her! Why?!" He was excited but in what way.

"She was here for the interview for the curatorial assistant" the lady recalled.

"An interview?" He was confused.

"The interview that you postponed!" The lady reminded him.

He cursed under his breath.

"What sir?" The lady asked.

"No! Nothing." He chuckled.

"Have a good day sir!" The lady greeted him for the last time.

"Yeah, yeah!" He looked around.

The workers were watching him with questionable eyes.

He smiled at everyone.

He fixed himself.

Looking at his watch, he quickly scooted towards Mr. Choi.

Regaining his cold expression on his face he walked.

"Mr. Choi! I want all the details about the woman who just came in." He commanded.

"But why?" Mr. Choi was confused about his sudden interest towards women.

"Please I want her." YongEul whispered.

"What?" Mr. Choi was sure he heard something.

"Her information." YongEul was shocked at how he himself reacted to her presence.

"Make it fast!" He said before walking further.
