Chapter 56 - chapter 56

Chapter 56: The Devil Is Back

After everything that happened, Krishna sat on the bed.

In front of him, his daughter stood with her hands folded, like she was interrogating him. That little girl clearly wanted answers.

Krishna looked at her with a mix of pride, amusement, and confusion.

"What does that look mean?" he asked.

"Papa, I want to ask a serious question."

Krishna blinked.

"What do you mean you want a serious question?"

Then he paused.

"Oh… you want to ask me a serious question. Okay, okay."

He corrected himself, slightly embarrassed.

The girl raised her hand immediately, stopping him.

"I know, I know. I said it like that on purpose."

She tried to hide her embarrassment.

Then she continued,

"Papa… are you going to act like you're in a wheelchair, or are you going to show that you can walk in front of that old white-haired woman and that old stick-like man?"

Krishna froze for a second.

"Old white-haired woman… old stick-like man…"

Then it clicked.

"Oh… those two."

A grin spread across his face.

"Oh my God… my daughter is the best."

He chuckled.

"White-haired old lady… stick man… perfect."

From that moment, Krishna decided those would be their names.

"I'm going to act like I'm still weak," Krishna said. "Stay in the wheelchair, act stupid… everything."

But before he could continue, his daughter raised her hand again.

"Don't act like that. That's boring."

Krishna raised an eyebrow.

"Boring?"

"What do you mean boring?"

She leaned forward slightly.

"See, Papa… if you act weak all the time, it will be like every other story."

Krishna narrowed his eyes.

"Okay… then what's your suggestion?"

The girl smiled.

"In front of grandma… act like your real self."

She paused for effect.

"But in front of grandpa… act stupid."

Krishna stared at her.

Slowly… a dangerous smile formed on his face.

He understood immediately.

If he acted differently in front of each of them…

He could break them mentally.

One would doubt the other.

One would go insane.

Krishna grabbed his daughter's hand.

"What a great idea."

His smile turned darker.

"Let's go make your grandmother insane."

Knock.

A sound came from the door.

Krishna instantly moved back into the wheelchair, his expression turning dull and harmless.

His daughter ran and opened the door.

Radha's mother and father stood there.

Both of them had already made their plan.

"Coco," they said sweetly, "pack your bags. Take whatever you like. We're taking you to school."

Little Coco frowned in confusion.

"You're the ones who didn't send me to school…"

She tilted her head.

"Then why are you taking me now?"

The old couple exchanged a glance.

They had already prepared answers for every question.
