Chapter 57 - chapter 57

Chapter 57: I Am Not Insane!

When Little Coco asked that question, her grandmother smiled gently and said,

"See, Coco… we didn't send you to school before because you might get spoiled. But now you understand the value of school, right? So we will admit you. You can make many friends and get lots of sweets you like."

Coco looked at both of them quietly.

She was not a dumb girl.

If Papa didn't get his memories back, I might have believed you, she thought. But now I have Papa… and I have that floating friend. Both of them won't let me get tricked.

She stayed silent for a moment, thinking carefully.

Then she realized something important.

Any question she asked… these two could answer. They came prepared for her.

But…

They were not prepared for her father.

A small smile appeared on her face.

"My papa has to give permission. Then only I will go to school."

Krishna understood instantly.

Smart girl… you know you can't handle them, so you're pushing them to me.

He smiled inwardly.

She looks innocent… but she's sharp.

Both the old man and old woman walked toward Krishna.

"See, Krishna," they said casually, "Koko is going to school. That's fixed."

They spoke like his opinion didn't matter.

Like he was a fool.

Krishna looked at them with innocent eyes.

"If Little Friend goes to school… then I won't have any friends."

"So no."

Both of them froze.

They didn't expect that answer.

The old man immediately got irritated.

He didn't even want to argue.

"Listen, Krishna. I am taking your daughter. That's it. Decide in two or three hours."

He turned and left the room.

But the old woman stayed behind.

She thought she could still fool Krishna and take Coco.

The moment the old man left—

Krishna's expression changed.

He slowly raised his hands… and stood up.

In an instant, he was standing right in front of her.

"What's up… old bitch?"

The old woman's eyes widened.

"W-What? What is happening? How can you stand?!"

Krishna smirked.

"I can always stand, bitch."

"How dare you—!"

She raised her hand to slap him.

But Krishna caught her wrist mid-air and gripped it tightly.

His legs were weak…

But his hands still had strength.

She struggled, panic rising in her eyes, then forcefully pulled her hand back and ran out of the room.

"Krishna! Krishna can walk!" she shouted.

The old man stopped.

"What nonsense are you saying?"

"Krishna can walk!"

"What?"

He rushed back into the room, confusion and a hint of fear in his eyes.

He looked at Krishna.

Krishna was sitting innocently in the wheelchair again.

The old man frowned.

"He can't walk. You know why he can't walk."

He grabbed his wife's arm and dragged her outside.

"Did you forget? We've been mixing the medicine Tony gave into his food. That's why he can't walk. That's why his memories aren't coming back."

"Don't act like a fool."

The old woman shook her head violently.

"I'm not insane! I saw him! He stood up… and he called me an old bitch! I know what I saw!"

The old man clicked his tongue in irritation.

He let go of her and walked away.

The old woman stood there, angry and shaken, before leaving as well.

But what they didn't know was—

Someone had heard everything.

From the shadows, silently.

That person slipped away quietly, went to his room, and took out a phone.

He dialed a number.

"I got the information," he said in a low voice. "I think we need to move."

From the other side, a calm voice replied,

"Not yet. If we act now… it will become worse."

They spoke for a few minutes before ending the call.

The mysterious man lowered the phone and thought,

Krishna… we have to bring him back to normal.

We have to stop this.

With that, he walked out again—

Returning to his role…

As just another servant in the house.
