I was peacefully sleeping. My eyes flinched at sudden sunlight casuing me to turn other side to avoid the sunlight. Until sudden sound of construction work at the road outside the estate broke my peaceful sleep. groan escaped my mouth like a roar of lion which i thought sounded like one. I sat up and immediately looked through window at the construction happening next to our estate.
My jaw clenched with the frustation of waking up like this. sitting back on bed side my hand instinctively picked up a cigarette from the nightstand. Lighting up with my favorite panda shape lighter
"Mama!.." I called out but no response came. Meanwhile i inhaled the smoke, letting it blank my frustation into thin air. The noise kept buzzing in my ear which kind of pissed me more with each second.
"Alex?" Soft voice called. Without knock My mother entered the room, her black eyes ,pale skin. Something that is like mirror to my own features. Her soft eyes suddenly hardened. She pressed her lips together before she speaks once more
" you have been smoking already? Hush,put that aside and eat something healthy , boy" she plucked the ciggerate out of my hand and threw it in ashtray and handed me the some kind of smoothie she made
"Yesterday , I saw this recipe on YouTube
It is supposed to help with rehab and stuff.no excuses" she firmly said.
My eyes landed at the smoothie. The green color of its and releasing some kind of gas. "Did she read smoothie or poison recipe?" I thought.
With a fake responsible nod. " sure i will drink it.....later after freshening up. Yeah? What's for breakfast anyways. Those bastards ruined my sleep anyways", I said gesturing towards window. Where outside the construction was taking place.
Mama expression hardens and she swats away my arm "Boy, language!. Now go and freshen up, we will eat breakfast as fast as possible. Your manager called me and you have a upcoming role in that romantic show of yours. Go quick and freshen up. And don't even think about throwing the smoothie away"
I rolled my eyes with frustation at her attentiveness but ultimately went to bathroom to freshen up. After a quick shower , i went downstairs for breakfast. My Mama was serving breakfast to my elder sisters. My third sister Mimi faced light up and she says "here he is, our bad boy Alex"
"Did you Washed your hands?" Mama asked me . My face turned into frown. "I am adult, not thirteen. Stop treating me like child, Mama .I am old enough to know how to wash hands" i said
My second elder sister, emma chuckles and says "well Alex, perhaps Mama can never stp being Mama. Nothing wrong with it, though. Did you slept well?" Her warm brown eyes and brown hair tied in bun. She looked at me as if she is looking at a kid but adult. It pisses me off that they treat me so....much like baby
With a deep sigh, I pressed my lips together. I don't like being shit and brat but my head happens to speak for itself. "I slept well sister. And where's big sister lily? "
As cue my eldest sister came. Lily yawns and sat next to me. Still wearing her shorts and bra like most average day of her. Hair not tied and not even a bit of perfume on her? Not even deodorant. She ruffled my hair which was clear signal that she sees me as mere baby, just a young brother.
I immediately stood up "i have to go to shoot. Thanks for breakfast everyone" I grabbed my keys, jacket almost forget my shoes and left in slippers. When I reached the car I realized i wasn't wearing shoes.
"Damn it" so I returned grabbed shoes and left once more
Mama called out "Alex, atleast eat breakfast. You just took one omelette. That's barely enough", I ignored her plea. I drove off the driveway.
At shoot, my stylists attended me in my trailer. My hair stylist giving me the look of the good boy i act on TV. Someone who I am not but desire to appear as.
My phone buzzed and i checked that a e-mail was very unexpected. House of fame? What's that i thought.i looked over my assistant laura. Her specs and soft chubby face. She caught my eye and opened the e-mail through her laptop since she takes care of my mails mostly
Laura reads the email and explains that it is reality show lasting 3 months at max. I scoofed "and what's that supposed to do with me. I'll join them. Eat the junk and behave as good boy? For what few millions. Especially without mobile , WiFi and family? Don't make me laugh"
Laura tucked her chin down with my tone and words. She says "sir..... it's just that fans need to know how thier celebrities actually are. So like they.... they created show which show how celebrity really is. They broadcast best one hour of the 24 hours and show it. It's for like clearing image of someone image is ruined"
Ruined image? Does Laura means my image is ruined. That I am druggy person? "You...."i didn't fully snapped knowing that's exactly what i am. Kid, druggy, damn. I am the worst piece of shit.
I paused. Groaned internally and sighed
"Agree, accept the offer of them" I said immediately, freezing Laura who looks at me with shock before nodding and agreeing "yes,I will send them email , confirming your participation"
Later at home
"No, absolutely not!. You are not give any where. You can't even make simple tea. How will you do chores and tasks. And who cares about money. We already makes more in year then necessary" mother said to me
"Mama you should trust me. It would be new experience" i insisted
"New experience? I mean you can have new experiences with us around. We could go fishing. We will do even do play video games or anything you say" her voice trembled with emotion.
Mimi giggling from couch, enjoying the argument. Meanwhile emma gently nudges her to stop laughing and says"i am with Alex mama. Let him do it he really wants it that bad"
"Mama ,let him do what he desires. You can't always keep him in your arms" lily said , supporting my decision. Damn, she was last person I expected to take shower ,let alone support me. All hail lily!
Mama being corned by our request. Her eyes softens and she nodded "it's just difficult to accept him going. If he desires ,he should go. But only if he promises to have dinner with us for the remaining two months before he leaves"
I smiled and said "sure , if that's what you want." This was first good thing happening to me all day and i felt affection for my family which was sudden and unexpected.
