He wiped the last of the sweat from his jaw and tossed the cloth onto the rack with more force than necessary.
"Your grounds," he muttered under his breath, echoing her words with a contempt that was already, to his annoyance, slightly less absolute than it had been five minutes ago.
Elias was looking at the ground, lost in thought.
After being caught hiding behind a bush like an idiot, she had walked out and taken their hostility without flinching.
The way she had not even reacted after he had insulted her made Riven frown. She had not thrown a mad tantrum or even lashed out at the other wolves because of the insult…

He looked over at Elias, who was rolling his shoulder and reaching for another bottle of water that was being handed to him. He appeared unaffected by what had just happened.
"She is acting strange," Riven said.
Elias took a slow drink. Wiped his mouth and frowned, annoyed.
"She is always strange," he said flatly.
