Chapter 51
Olivia's heart leaped into her throat the moment she saw the steel pipe raised high above Alex's head, the intent in the gang leader's eyes was clearly vicious. She knew that If that attack landed, it could make Alex severely injured or worse... It could turn him into a vegetable.
Alex meanwhile had already noticed the attack, but before he could move, something unexpected happened.
He watched as Olivia raised her wooden stick with a loud cry and struck at the gang leader's head with what little force she could muster, but it was just enough for the job. With a pained yelp, the gang leader clutched the back of his head while staggering, before dropping to his knees. It was clearly obvious that he was injured, as crimson blood began to spill from underneath his fingers.
