As Quinn was in Beast class, Leo noticed something had changed. He could see his aura had intensified. Leo is thinking to himself, this boy is growing stronger every time. I've never seen such a marked increase in his strength. I guess that scare out there. In the desert, it actually helped him by leaps and bounds. How odd, there seems to be more than around the fix kid. There are at least 2 right now around him.

Leo dismissed the class as the students rolled out. Leo could see one of them. Who was injured during the fight. Standing at the door, Peter had changed completely; something big was going on, and I didn't even see it coming. What has infiltrated the school? Not the enemy, but there's something.

Quinn headed off to do some training for himself. To low and not engage any of the bullies. He headed off to Logan's room to see if he had any suggestions on training methods. As Quinn knocked on the door, the electronic lock clicked, and the doors opened slightly.

"Hey, I hate to bother you, but I figured you would be the best person to understand my situation. I kind of need some training, but I don't know if there's anything appropriate, train-wise, for me."
Logan responds, "There is, it's called power fighters. There's a place downstairs towards the gym. You'll spot it, you know what, better yet. Here, I would get you a map for it."
Quinn, receiving the map, bowed and thanked Logan for his assistance. As soon as Quinn arrived, he noticed that he had to rent it out. Luckily, he now has a good number of credits available, and he has had some time to play. Quinn noticed that he could have Beast gear scanned in.
Quinn thought to himself, 'Next time I'll get something, but I'm just not ready for them. Let's just give it a shot now.'
Quinn gets into the pod and activates it. As soon as he initiated the game, options popped up, and he began listing a few details about himself and choosing an avatar and a nickname. He went ahead and chose "Shadow Reaper." He thought that was rather ironic. And then added his shadow ability to the listings, unaware that Logan was tracking him. Logan hooked himself up to a machine so he could monitor what chaos he was going to cause from a distance. With the spider attached to his pod, watching the feed, he noticed many questionable things.
He needed to try at least to gain 10 levels from all this, so he decided to get more familiar with the Shadow ability. He gained quite a bit of strength, but he was still rather unfamiliar with his abilities, especially the ability called Shadow Manifestation. Quinn selects a random battle. He quickly got into a match and proceeded to use his Shadow ability, catching the other person off guard.
They were a mere level 2. Wind user, seeing the shadow thrown towards him, tried to cut and disperse it, not realizing it was a Shadow control, which was resistant to wind attacks and would spread through and slice him in 2, winning him the match.
Quinn was thinking to himself that it was far easier than I was expending. The next one should be more entertaining; this one is cute for another 1. As soon as he initiated, a new player showed up, a level 4 Earth user. Quinn decided to use his Shadow Manifestation to quickly bombard Earth User. Stunning the player and taking him out quickly, and winning another match.
Quinn is going through another match this time. He was a level 5 water user. But this proved to be too easy. As soon as he used the Shadow Manifestation, he simply shattered the water and scattered it around, making it difficult for the user to respond and quickly send blades straight forward, taking him out before he could recover all the water. Winning him another match. Well, this has been interesting so far. I've gained at least 3 levels from all this. If I keep getting these higher-level players, I'll face some challenges. I think I should stop doing random battles and actually fight some more challenging opponents.
Quinn decided to go ahead and queue up to fight only the level six user. As soon as the cute activated, he immediately got somebody at a level 6 ice user. Well, this is interesting. I'm gonna have to be careful with this one. But I should make it quick. So far, I'm getting better with this. Quinn quickly threw shadow blades out at the start of the match, making the ice user put up an ice wall to stop the attack as soon as the ice bowled up. Quinn immediately summoned a shadow hand to grab the ice user, er stunning the ice user in the process. But they quickly started freezing the shadow.
Could not expect ice to affect the shadow; he reconsidered his attacks and went with bombarding him with shadow hits, setting pillars of shadow from all Angles to try to nail them, and, of course, quickly realizing what was going on, the ice user immediately started freezing the pillars of shadow, freezing them solid. When quickly recalled, breaking the ice that affected them and returning them to himself.
Quinn quickly took the initiative and threw many objects from the arena floor at the ice user, bombarding them with debris, causing him to become overwhelmed and immediately finish a wall with a shadow strike from above. CIA was desperately putting herself together and trying to make a run for it when she realized that her cover had been compromised and that the punishers were waiting for her. CIA realized that she was stuck and could not escape, knelt and put her hands up, prepared to surrender, one of the men reached out, and Shadow lock her to be taken back and then released.
