"Slow down, girl. And smile like you're happy to be here, because I believe you are." My father said from behind me.
Seriously?
"So you know for a fact without a single doubt that I am excited to be at your workplace?" I asked, giving him a nasty look.
"I really do not care, daughter. But if you don't make it look like you're happy to be here, you just might miss what I brought you here for." He answered.
Weirdly, I got curious. What had he brought me here for?
"Okay, let's do this." I grinned at him.
"Attaboy! That's the Montgomery spirit."
I gave a long suffering sigh. "I am a Blackwood now, father. Get used to it."
"Well, before you became a Blackwood, you were first a Montgomery. Always remember that." He answered. Refusing to back down.
