Fionn, Ethan, and the four men stomped inside. "Freeze."
The man and woman were slammed to the floor as chaos erupted.
The naked man moved to react, but before he could fire, Fionn raised his gun and shot the hand gripping the weapon, instantly rendering it useless.
Fionn then charged forward and swept the naked man off his feet in one swift motion. Pinning his arm behind his back, he growled, "Get me the handcuffs," tightening his hold.
"Please, I have to get her to the hospital. She's been overdosed on and assaulted. She might die." The other man cried out as one of the four men handcuffed him.
"Hey, I don't think it's time to think about others; you should think about how you'll be spending the rest of your life in jail."
"Derrick," Ethan called.
"Yes, sir." One of the men responded.
"Call the ambulance immediately. Her pulse is weakening." Ethan muttered.
He held onto the woman's hand, who now lay on the couch, as he felt her pulse. He then moved to the bed and got a sheet, which he used to cover her.
"You traitors, you will pay for this." The naked man cursed as Fionn cuffed him.
"Traitors? Really?" Fionn scoffed. "We can't be traitors if we've never worked with you. Yes, we may be criminals, but we aren't the kind of criminals that you are. Not so Ethan?"
"Sure," Ethan replied.
"But your father was. And however much you try, teaming up with the police won't change anything. You will forever be the sons of the most notorious criminal to ever exist in this country."
"Shut up." Fionn's fist crashed into his face. "Don't ever call me his son."
He kept striking him, rage driving every blow, until the man went limp and slumped into unconsciousness, blood spilling from his nose and mouth.
"Fionn, stop, you'll kill him. Remember, we need him alive."
Taking deep breaths, Fionn walked away from the man and leaned against the wall for a moment. After he'd cooled down, he turned to one of the men.
"Pete, call the police. I'll get some fresh air."
"Someone, please, get her to the hospital." The other man cried out again.
"Someone shut him up," Fionn said as he exited the room.
"Don't worry, the ambulance will be here soon. She'll be fine." Ethan reassured the man before running after his brother.
------
Outside, the two brothers stood leaning against the wall of the building side by side.
"I can't bloody stand being reminded of that bastard of a man we've got for a dad," Fionn said slowly.
"You're starting to sound like an Englishman." Ethan chuckled.
"Care for a smoke?"
He handed Fionn a cigarette.
"Sure, it wouldn't hurt."
Fionn got the cigarette from Ethan and placed it in his mouth, then lit it.
"Talk of Englishmen, she is an Englishman," Fionn said after a puff.
"You mean that girl."
"Why do you keep calling her that girl? When you know her name."
"Of course I know it. My bad."
"Is it hard for you to say Kiar... wait… am I hallucinating again, or is this real?"
Fionn shook his head and rubbed his eyes. When he looked again, she was still there.
"Ethan, are you seeing what I'm seeing?" He asked.
"Anha... You are not hallucinating. It's her. But what would she be doing in this shitty neighbourhood and at this time?"
"Talk about it. And who are those other three men with her?" Fionn asked
"Can't tell, but they look fishy."
"I'll go check out. Take care of the rest here." Fionn said as he crossed the road to the other side.
He quickly ran into the alley that Kiara and the three men walked into.
-----
"Are you sure this is the place?" Kiara asked.
Panic crept into her voice as her nerves began to fray.
"Yes, miss, just at the end of the alley, that's the location you are looking for." One of the guys reassured her.
Though doubt gnawed at her, she pressed on, too afraid to go alone, yet unwilling to flee from the three men. Who knows what they would do to her if she tried to run from them? Not to take chances, she only meekly played on.
She thought of putting up a fight, but three versus one was out of the question. Even though she had a bit of experience in self-defence, mind you, it was three men in question.
One of the men at the back signalled to the other, who swiftly pulled out a gun and pressed it to Kiara's head. The cold presence of the weapon sent her breath into ragged gasps as terror flooded her body.
Is this how I die? she wondered.
"Dear Miss Princess, you know, we were not going to do this, but it's all your fault, you're just so beautiful." The guy who winked earlier said as he ran his fingers over Kiara's face, down her neck and eventually down into her T-shirt, then fondled her boob, causing her to step back.
But the guy who had the gun held her in place. "I wouldn't if I were you." He said and then went on to join in fondling her other boob.
The guy who took the lead turned back with a sly, wide grin.
"Look at her, so cute, so flawless. Anyway, all we wanted were your belongings but my boys were like, why don't we have a taste of you."
"Please, don't do this to me. I'll give you whatever amount you want. But please don't do this to me." Kiara said with tears now rolling down her cheeks.
"Any amount?" The boss asked, which sent all three laughing. "Even if it's a million Euros?"
"Yes. I will." Kiara nodded.
"As if I'll believe that." The boss spoke, then strode over to join the others with Kiara.
While licking his lower lip, he flapped her t-shirt and then sniffed her tummy.
"Smells good, I wonder how it is down there."
"Please don't do this to me." She cried.
"What do you think you are doing?" Fionn's voice snapped, sharp with anger.
"Scrum geezer, this is none of your business."
"Tsk. None of my business?" Without waiting for anything else, Fionn held the first by his head and then slammed him into a wall.
Before the man with the gun could react, he gripped his hand and crushed it, forcing him to drop the weapon. Without hesitation, he slammed a fist into the man's throat. The guy collapsed to the ground, wheezing and gasping for air.
Seizing the chance, the boss got hold of the gun and quickly held Kiara at gunpoint. "If you come any closer, I'll shoot." He threatened.
But Fionn didn't listen and continued to walk to them.
"Fionn, please," Kiara called out in her trembling voice. "Do as he says, I don't want to die here."
"Princess, listen to me, you won't die here. You have to trust me." Fionn reassured her.
"Cut the hero shit, you should just listen to her." But Fionn only continued to walk to them.
"One more step and I blow her head." The boss cocked the gun. "I'm not kidding, I'll kill her."
