Silas, Ethan, and the girls' mother sat in the living room chatting softly. Their chat was rather fun as they giggled from time to time. When Fionn and Kiara got in, their hands clutched together, they called for their attention.
With sharp eyes, Emily watched and studied her daughter. Kiara, seeing her mother's expression, held on to Fionn's shirt and pulled it.
"Told ya, here she comes." She whispered to him, then hid behind him like a child finding solace in her dad.
"Kiara, what's that you're putting on. And where did you spend the night?" Emily asked. Kiara didn't answer and only remained hiding behind Fionn.
"Come here, before I come there and get you myself. Do you think he will be able to stop me?"
Kiara knew her mother was right; not even Fionn would be able to stop her. She didn't resist and instead walked slowly to where her mother was seated.
