The morning sun streamed through the floor-to-ceiling windows of the bedroom, casting a warm glow over the sleek, modern room. Kiara lay in bed, half covered, as she groaned and moaned.
She tossed around restlessly in her sleep until she finally broke the shells of slumber thanks to the rays of light that fell straight onto her face. She yawned and stretched as she scratched her eyes open.
Sitting up in bed, she looked around the room as a soft smile lingered on her lips. The previous night had been long and yet exciting. She'd stayed up all night with Maeve, talking and reminiscing about Mairead.
She found Maeve not only sweet and charming, but she also greatly reminded her of Mairead. Kiara hadn't thought the world would be that small. Her best friend, the same person, was the childhood friend she once had before they separated.
