Kiara's eyes widened. Her breath felt heavy and quick. How and when had he found out? She didn't think Belinda would tell him. She'd promised to keep it a secret.
But Fionn knowing about it only meant she'd told him. Was it the reason she was nagging her about telling him? Was guilt gnawing at her that she simply wanted a way out? Why? Why would Belinda betray her?
"I know, you told me that you were dying." He said, pulling her back into an embrace. Kiara was out of worlds, her biggest fear had finally hit her. How would he take it? Was he about to end their marriage? The uncertainty was so scary.
Her uncertainty came with her loss of words. So she only listened as tears welled up in her eyes.
"That night, I wished you were lying. I told myself you were only kidding." He continued, the sorrow in his voice palpable.
