A man in a black suit, black hat, and a crow mask entered.
His face was fully covered.
Seeing him, Arthur's expressions changed.
"Why were you stalking us?
"You have been outside the whole time."
Arthur noticed the man's presence from the beginning. But his senses were weak since he had been travelling for two weeks without any sleep.
He thought he was hallucinating.
He couldn't trust his senses.
Even Elly couldn't feel his presence. So, Arthur kept his silence.
"What do you want here?"
The man remained silent. A few seconds later, he pointed at Arreck.
The man broke his silence.
"Give him to me."
Arthur frowned.
"Why do you want him?
"Is he your son or something?"
The man gave no reply.
Just as Arthur was going to say anything else, another man in a black suit rushed in.
His appearance was different from the other guy's, although their uniforms were the same.
He had round glasses. He was good-looking enough to attract every woman.
He was well organized, and he had a gentle smile on his face.
"Oh! Levi, you arrived here before us.
"At least inform me when you are going to take action. This is not fair.
"You cannot have all the fun by yourself!"
Hearing his words, Arthur understood there were more of them outside.
But why were they here?
Both Arthur and Elly were very suspicious of them.
The good-looking guy's eyes landed on Arthur's menacing glare.
"Oh! Sorry for the late introduction, I am Kevin Morbius, and this is my college, Levi.
"We are the Knights of Salvation."
Arthur and Elly flinched.
Both of them were shocked after hearing who they were.
Arthur was the most shocked one.
'Out of all the places in the entire world, why are they here?'
'This is bad. Really, really bad.'
'Just, how much bad luck do I have!?'
Knights of Salvation, an organization of elite knights and holy priests. It is managed by the kingdom of Ashkara.
It was managed by the descendants of the Iron God, Ogun. The king of Ashkara himself was a descendant of Ogun.
Even though they claim to be workers of Ogun, their main mission is very heinous. Their main goal is to make weapons that could even slay gods. And by weapon, they mean living weapons, weapons that have a mind of their own.
Arthur knew all of that.
"Why do you people want the child?"
Kevin grinned.
"We heard everything. My special skill is that I can see every demigod's godblood. Not only does that child not have any magical essence, but he also does not have god-blood.
"Every person in the whole world has at least a single god's blood in them, which is called the God-Blessings.
"Either one bears the blessing of a god or bears the blood of a demon king. But that child does not bear either. Thus, he is the only mortal to exist in the present."
Arthur and Elly's reactions were like the sky fell on them.
Thousands of years ago, people did not have God-Blessings. Until the ■■ happened. It almost wiped away everything.
The mortals who were on the verge of their end received the God-Blessings as pity from the gods. As a result, every mortal turned into a demigod.
Thus, no mortal should exist in the present.
"That child is the only mortal that exists right now. That little, cute being is an anomaly.
"So, please hand him over to us. We don't know what might happen in the future. 'It' might happen again."
Arthur and Elly stayed silent.
They looked at each other as if they were talking with their eyes.
A few moments later, Arthur broke the silence.
"You can leave. We have no will to hand him over.
"And how did you even find us in the first place?"
"Oh! We were just enjoying some dorayakis back in the Down Street when you were shouting, 'Where did the clinic go!' and thought you might need our help.
"Before we could reach you to help you, the old man helped you.
"Levi then heard you found that child somewhere when you were talking loudly with the old man. So, he just wanted to help, so he and I came here. We happened to eavesdrop on your conversation. And then we changed our objective."
Arthur's jaw dropped in shock. He was left frozen for a while.
Soon enough, all of them felt an ominous aura from behind Arthur.
An aura that could even make the Black Malevolent Dragon run like a little rat.
Everyone looked at Elly.
A chill went down everyone's spine.
They gulped.
"E-Elly ar-"
"Heavy Impact!"
Before Arthur could even finish his sentence, Elly smacked him to the ground, causing the floor to break.
She then looked at Levi and Kevin with a menacing glare.
"You guys, get out of here at once!"
Elly shouted at Kevin and Levi and told them to leave.
"S-Sorry, b-but w-w-we cannot go w-without the c-child," Kevin spoke while trembling.
"Then perish!"
Spears made of earth rose from the ground and pointed at them.
"Earth Magic: Earth Spears!"
Kevin ducked while Levi activated his powers.
"Iron Shield!"
Liquid iron came out of his palm and materialized into a huge shield. It blocked the spear.
Levi could handle the pressure of the attack. After all, they were caught off guard.
Levi tried to chant an attack spell, but was beaten by Elly's speed.
Elly pounced on Levi with her Stone Fists.
Levi could only block her attack with his bare hands at that moment.
Levi was pushed back a few steps.
As Elly was busy with Levi, Kevin tried to grab Arreck, who was in Elly's left arm.
Just as he was about to grab Arreck, he got drop-kicked by Arthur.
"Cough! What do you think you're doing, huh!? I am still alive!"
Blood was dripping out of Arthur's mouth.
Kevin slowly stood up while groaning. His broken glasses fell as he was standing up.
He didn't have that gentle vibe anymore.
"Y-You don't have a-any idea what you g-got yourself into!"
