Kevin placed his palm on the ground and started chanting.
Arthur knew an attack was coming from the ground.
He tried to dash towards Kevin to beat him, only to get blocked by an invisible barrier.
'Oh no! This is really bad! This four-eyes can cast a Mana Barrier!'
'At this point, we are going to die if we don't get out of here.'
'There isn't a way out of this place. That four-eyes is standing right in front of the door.'
'And to make the situation much worse, there are more knights outside.'
Even if Arthur and Elizabeth could get out of there with Arreck without knowing the number of enemies, they would still have a huge disadvantage.
How many are there outside?
How powerful are they?
Arthur had so many questions.
'No, this is not the time to crash out. I have to think!'
He looked at Elly.
She was fighting Levi with one hand. She could not fight properly while trying to protect Arreck.
Levi materialized his iron liquid into a pair of daggers.
He swung his daggers towards Elly, but she dodged his every attack with precision.
She was stronger than Levi, but she could not attack properly while trying to save Arreck from being snatched.
If Arthur had not stopped Kevin that time, Kevin would have gotten his hands on Arreck.
However, Elly could land a few attacks. They were enough to break a few ribs.
Levi coughed up blood.
He dropped his daggers and dashed forward with his full power.
Elly flinched. She didn't expect him to dash towards her without any weapon.
Thinking he was about to use his hand, Elly raised a wall of stone in front of her.
Levi stopped right when the wall was raised.
Elly felt something was wrong.
'Huh? Why isn't he attacking?'
'It feels strange. How can he use his magic like that? It's almost as if-'
An iron spear stabbed from the back. Luckily, the spear did not pierce her heart.
Levi crossed the wall from the sides and tried to grab Arreck.
In a flash, Arthur appeared right on top of Levi and smacked him down with a heavy blow.
The spear that injured Elly turned into liquid again.
As she was about to plop to the ground, Arthur grabbed her.
"We are getting out of here."
"Tha-That guy c-can use manipulation.
"T-They are purebloods."
"We will think about that later. First, we have to get out of here. This place is about to be destroyed."
Arthur picked up Elly.
"Flame drill."
Fire started to swirl around Arthur. Fire's speed increased. It made a pointy-spinning-edge of fire onto the top of Arthur.
Arthur, along with Elly and Arreck, burst through the roof.
The flames worked both as a shield and a drill.
Just as they left the ground, large iron spikes spread a hundred meters wide.
Both Arthur's and Elly's faces darkened.
All buildings within a hundred-meter range were demolished.
Arthur gritted his teeth.
He left Elly and Arreck on top of a building.
"Try to heal yourself, Elly.
"I have got new work."
Elly was frozen as she was looking at the corpses of the villagers.
In the whole ground of corpses, Arthur noticed old man Frank's body.
It was covered in blood and had a bunch of holes.
He clenched his fists and went back to the demolished clinic.
Kevin was standing there.
Arthur looked at the other knight members.
They jumped on the tall buildings before the spikes could even graze them. That explained how experienced they were.
To dodge an attack as devastating as that one is not easy. That one thing alone made it clear that all of them were specially trained elites.
Levi did not need to protect himself at all.
Kevin totally avoided attacking him.
Kevin and Levi stood in front of Arthur, and the other twenty elite soldiers surrounded him from each side.
But Arthur did not seem to be bothered by it at all.
'As expected, they won't go for Elly. Looks like the four-eyes informed about my god-blood.'
'They are getting rid of the lock before opening the treasure chest.'
"Sigh! Looks like you have found out I am a pureblood.
"Well, I guess it's fair enough, since I also know your secrets. Isn't that right, Clark?"
Arthur looked at the knight just behind him.
"H-How do you know my name?" Clark shouted.
"Why does he know your real name?" Jake asked, placing his sword on his neck.
"H-Hey, Jake, just what the hell are you doing!? I am not a traitor! I don't even know that guy!"
"I never mentioned the word 'traitor'. That means you are a traitor!"
Arthur interfered. "Don't fight among yourselves. Fred, stop them."
Fred, on Jake's right, was shocked by hearing that.
"Fred, not you too," said Jake with a menacing gaze.
"How do we know it's not you who betrayed us, Jake!?
"You are the one who took action first!" said Fred in his defense.
"Shut up, you traitor!"
Jake pushed away Clark and swung his sword at Fred. Fred repelled his attack.
Everyone started to accuse each other. Eventually, the knights started to fight among themselves.
'Wow. I didn't think my plan would work like this. I overestimated their intellect.'
'These are just some wolves with the brain of a fish.'
Arthur smirked.
It was clear he was enjoying the scene. He turned to Kevin.
"Now, why not you two purebloods come at me?"
"You know we are pureblood, and you still want to fight us?"
Arthur laughed.
"It's worth a shot."
Purebloods are the direct descendants of a god's bloodline. Which means they can inherit the full potential of their godblood.
Purebloods have an absurd amount of magic essence reserved. Every pureblood either has Cursed Energy or Divine Energy.
Arthur picked up his axe from the ground, which he had left behind before Kevin's attack.
He took his stance, ready to fight.
Kevin and Levi also brought out their weapons.
All three of them activated their godblood.
