The businesses Lina was supposed to inherit after her coronation had been temporarily entrusted to several banks. It was not difficult to imagine who was benefiting from this arrangement. While she waited for the Church to approve her coronation, the people managing those assets were probably making handsome profits from them.
Unfortunately, there was little she could do about it for now. Lina consoled herself with the thought that the arrangement was still preferable to handing everything over to her two uncles. If either of them had taken control of the royal assets, reclaiming them might eventually have required a war.
