Speaking of Cardinal Romario, there was also the matter of Silvio Loreto, the young priest Edward had recently brought into the palace. Lina had never intended to meet him personally, so she simply summoned the Cardinal of Lorraine and handed the responsibility over to him.
"Didn't you complain last time that the priests serving at court were too old to be of much use? Well, here's a young priest from Rome, personally recommended by the Duke of Anjou. I'm sure you'll take a liking to him."
With a pleasant smile, Lina introduced Silvio to the white-haired cardinal, then left the two of them to settle the arrangements themselves. The cardinal had effectively been exiled by the Vatican for years and had little contact with the Church's upper ranks. Lina therefore had no particular reason to worry that he would discover Silvio was Romario's illegitimate son and decide to make trouble for him.
