Chapter 35 - Episode 35 – The Mentor Returns

The estate was silent.

Too silent.

After the mysterious message and the photo of Sasmita's childhood home, security was doubled. Patrol units surrounded every property connected to her name.

But fear wasn't what Sasmita felt.

It was anger.

Someone had crossed a line.

6:30 AM – Private Strategy Chamber

Srikant hadn't slept.

Files were open across the large digital table. Old mission reports. Archived operation data.

One name highlighted in red:

RUDRA SEN

Sasmita entered quietly.

"You look like you're fighting ghosts."

He didn't look up.

"Maybe I am."

She walked closer.

"Tell me everything."

He finally met her eyes.

And for the first time—

He didn't hold anything back.

Three Years Ago

Rudra Sen wasn't just his mentor.

He was the architect of India's most secret underground intelligence network.

Not official.

Not government.

Private.

Powerful.

Invisible.

Srikant was his best student.

Sharp. Fearless. Loyal.

But one day—

Srikant discovered something.

Rudra wasn't protecting the country.

He was manipulating crises.

Creating problems.

Then solving them.

To increase influence.

Power over politics.

Power over business.

Power over law.

Srikant confronted him.

They argued.

And that same night—

An explosion destroyed Rudra's base.

Rudra was declared dead.

But no body was ever found.

Sasmita listened silently.

"So you tried to stop him."

"Yes."

"And now he's back."

"Yes."

She crossed her arms.

"Then this isn't revenge. This is unfinished business."

Srikant's eyes hardened.

"Exactly."

Meanwhile – Hidden Command Center

Dim lights.

Multiple screens.

City surveillance feeds.

Rudra Sen sat in a leather chair, calm, composed.

Older.

But sharper.

He replayed the message he sent.

"Love makes leaders vulnerable."

He smiled.

"You've grown emotional, Srikant."

A man beside him asked, "Sir, should we target the girl directly?"

Rudra shook his head.

"No. Fear is more effective than violence."

Pause.

"Make him choose."

Noon – Hospital Incident

Suddenly—

Emergency call came from hospital.

Sasmita's father's oxygen levels dropped.

Doctors rushed in.

Machines beeped loudly.

Sasmita's heart nearly stopped.

Srikant arrived within minutes.

Doctors stabilized him.

"Equipment malfunction," one nurse said.

But Srikant didn't believe it.

He checked CCTV.

For 12 seconds—

Camera blackout.

Exactly 12 seconds.

Just enough to tamper.

This wasn't coincidence.

It was a warning.

Emotional Clash

Outside ICU room—

Sasmita faced Srikant.

"This is because of you."

He didn't defend himself.

"I know."

"If he dies because of this war—"

"He won't."

"You can't promise that!"

Her voice cracked.

"This is your world. Your enemies. Your past."

"And I am trying to protect you from it."

"But I didn't ask to be protected like this!"

Silence.

Heavy.

Painful.

For the first time—

She stepped back from him.

Not physically.

Emotionally.

"I love you," she said softly.

"But I won't lose my father because of your power games."

That sentence pierced him deeper than any bullet.

Evening – Direct Signal

Back at estate.

Main screen flickered.

Not a message.

Not text.

Live video feed.

A masked figure standing in darkness.

Slowly—

Mask removed.

Rudra Sen.

Alive.

Calm smile.

"Hello, Srikant."

Room froze.

Sasmita stood beside him, stunned.

"You survived," Srikant said coldly.

Rudra chuckled.

"Of course. I taught you strategy. Did you think I wouldn't have an exit plan?"

"You're attacking hospitals now?"

"No.
