In a world of plain white, a figure drifted through it like a dead human on sea water. Bubbles formed out of nowhere, they moved around freely around Moonlight. Moonlight's body did not move but his eyes did.
Several horizontal, vertical, curved lines connected each bubble; that in turn a complex shape of unprecedented structure. Memories gushed out, filling each one at a pace so fast that the world could not keep up. However, Moonlight kept up.
As all connected beautifully, orderly that made Moonlight current visual low. But in the midst of it all, it all vanished; filling the white into complete darkness.
"Hah…" Moonlight woke up.
He twisted his slightly sideways. His expression changed from a lazy sleeper to one who wonders.
"Hey there, you okay…" A sweet voice spoke above him.
Moonlight blurred vision came clearer and he made shocked expression.
His hair lay on the lap of Phoenix whom gave a smile of relief. "Wake up…you still aren't done with your test."
Moonlight got up instantly. "Huh."
!
His hand moved towards the back of his head.
"Woah calm down!" Cloud said, his hand reaching for Moonlight's hair. "Boy. It seems we have some test to complete."
Moonlight turned, he said curiously. "Test? What test?"
"I don't know. Do you know Mom?" facing Phoenix.
"It's simple. Don't worry about it." She replied slowly. Phoenix then looks to the evening sky, while still holding Moonlight tender hands. "It is easy; for an Adna, that is."
Cloud listened then nodded. "Let's go Moonlight. We are to meet Great Uncle at the back of the house, just right at the forest entrance." He picked up Moonlight by his other hand and released him from Phoenix touch.
Moonlight looks to the sky then, murmured, "Night is slowly approaching. Is it a good idea to do anything during this time?"
"You sleep and now you have changed. I don't know that we'll do but it seems fun." Cloud replied, still dragging Moonlight by the hand. He gave an unsure smile.
They walked through a large field of aligned grasses. By this time, its beauty had been lost as the sun majestic light won't reach them. Instead, they were sheltered by the red evening sun which would darken in no time at all.
The atmosphere was warm, a remainder of Phoenix. The boys pondered about Phoenix. Moonlight specially. The moment she arrived she did something relatively impossible: she made Moonlight speak.
"Hey Cloud. About Phoenix, there's something about her that is…" Moonlight said. Now, moving freely and following Cloud's back.
"…Like a magnet that brings warmth and peace everywhere she goes. Trust me, I know." Cloud replied quietly.
"Yeah…like a—what's a magnet?" commented Moonlight.
"And we are here. Damn. That forest sure is haunting!" Cloud said, giving a pose of pure pride.
The house stationed to the left and at the right was a daunting forest that screamed mystery all over. This piqued Moonlight.
Great Uncle appeared from the sidelines basked the same outfit he wore yesterday. Behind him was Febia, her scattered showed signs of stress, probably, from constant complaints.
"Heh!" screamed Cloud.
"Huh!" muttered Moonlight.
Great Uncle picked them up and threw them into the forest. They landed roughly.
"Your test is to go over to the middle. You see the light, right? Head there and you pass…"
"…"
"Not now, since it's a test. And both are Adna's. So the recommendation for passing is. Observe, Record and learn of every creature you see. You can also defeat them of you want. So, good bye," He gave a smile.
With a clap of his hands, space distorted and the brothers found themselves in the same place, but the Adna house was nowhere to be seen.
"Go in! Don't turn back, reach your goal."
