Chapter 1 - Introduction

The only two things I remember is two faces: a man with black hair and a young woman with black hair. They both looked happy as their eyes met mine. Their presence had a sensation that I have no longer felt again. I have not seen them since then but for some reason I still remember them.

I only figured out the woman's name which was 'Phoenix' and also figured out she was my mother. Which means the black-haired man was my father.

Everything I know about them is from my older brother, Cloud. Apparently, he stayed with them long enough that he knows about them even if it is just a little. I also learnt we were brought here and may leave anytime soon.

Due to boredom, I indulged myself into reading books from the library on a daily basis which eventually created a kid with a curious mind with the personality of an introvert. The only two souls I've spoken to is our maid Febia and Cloud. Though, I've interacted with others, they mostly do the talking.

For some reason, I can remember clearly though not vividly, my moment of birth. All memories above that, I can't remember. Which is strange, how can I remember my moment of birth but not my first five years?

A year passed and I was finally six with Cloud moving to eight. Nothing changed, my routine didn't change, my way of speaking didn't change, I stayed in the library from morning to evening, slept how I wanted and ate whenever I wanted.

But, during these times; I was thinking of different ways I would greet my parents the moment I met them. Eventually, I ended the topic at just greeting them, saying my name and ending with a handshake. Cloud inspired me on that ideology.

(Yesterday)

As I was living life as usual following my daily routine nestled in the library as usual. I picked up a book from a bunch of books in a dump. It was titled 'The World' written by an author named 'Egnah'. The front was nothing special. It smelled like wood, but the paper seemed genuine and neat.

When I looked at the contents, I found something unusual 'Elro'.

"Is it really it" I muttered.

I cross-checked and discovered it really was 'Elro'. I felt slightly happy then focused on the book once more.

"It really is, I hope this one explain it" praying to myself.

'Elro' has been mentioned multiple times in other books I've read and each time it is mentioned 'Magic' is always closer to it. But all of the books I've read have never explained it they only mention it somewhere in the story maybe multiple or once.

For that reason, I'm not going to pass on this opportunity.  Besides, this will take away boredom from my life.

"All right let's begin", I shouted.

In the massive tide of books located at the place called the library, a small voice echoed around the room. The tone signified and also a sense of freedom. As the boy opened the book at his hands, he smiled.

(Present)

"Who the hell writes a book without finishing it" I screamed angrily dragging my hair.

"[laughs] You really read that book. [laughs again], a voice replied.

"That damn Egnah" I protested more.

"Calm down, Moonlight. I know how it feels. I've been there", the voice added.

This voice is my Older Brother, Cloud. He has black hair, black eyes and it's just taller than me a little.

"It gave me a headache when I first read it. Made me confused for an entire day" Cloud continued.

"Really?!" I questioned.

"Yea, it gave me problems until I asked Great Uncle for the answer"

"Did he have the answer?"

"No, but he gave me an assurance."

"Like what?!" pushing the conservation.

"Liiike, well he said he will answer me when we are about to leave." Cloud replied.

He paused then whispered something. I did not know what he said.

"You say something" I asked.

"No, nothing at all" he replied.

Turns out I can't know what 'Elro' is. Maybe I can't get the answer. Great Uncle's the only way for now. I thought. But with the way my interactive skill is I can't negotiate or ask another person a question. I'm disappointed in myself.

Great Uncle is the head of the Adna's residence. He is the lord of this house and controls everything in it. He is rarely in it leaving for long period without coming back.

"Even If we can ask him again, we are not even sure if he's in the house, Sigh" I said.

Cloud face looked downed for sometime then suddenly after a snap if his fingers, his eyes looked alive like they have discovered an idea.

"Let's just forget this and go for dinner. It's already noon" Cloud added.

I looked at the sky and it really was noon. The sun was reaching its maximum height, the clouds were now clearer and the blue sky covered everything. Beside us, a giant tree stood blocking little sunlight and around it, the grass was green.

"Yea, let's to for dinner" I finally replied.

"Let's go" Cloud spoke.

He stood up, faced the house, I did too and we walked.
