"Please! What else do you want?! That's all I know!"
Crawling backwards with tears running down his cheeks, this librarian screamed in pain as he found his legs completely paralyzed and unmoving. His mind boggled on what to do. His face was a mental mess. "Please~what do you want…?" The librarian begged, his once screams soon turning to whispers.
"I ask again, who are you and what is your relation with the Insti Household?" asked the voice of a man. It was neither scary nor friendly, but in the ears of this librarian: it sounded like the voice of death.
His body shivering, he said with utmost certainty, "I told you I am the second~child of the Insti family, Kobo Insti." His words losing voice mid-sentence as Kobo tried to answer, but the expression of the questionnaire could not be read. 'Wh-what's happening?'
Kobo thought, trying to regain his mind. The man in front of him had his face covered under a brown cloak, wielded a long-sword that certainly wasn't fit for questioning. Kobo moved his eyes to at least find someone that could help and he did; but in his mind. Victor was the only individual he can think of. 'He must be in school by now. If I just make—
"Are you thinking?"
AAAAARRRGGGGHHH!!!!
The long-sword on the cloaked man's hands pierced into both of Kobo's wrist, simply paralyzing his fingers. Kobo screamed more in pain, that saliva even joined his worry.
Currently, there were in the library; which is the most-quiet place in the entire school and Kobo has a record of over enforcing that quietness. Therefore, students rarely visited. Kobo now knew his fate was sealed; the rain is dropping fast, making an eerie source of quietness that he definitely does not want.
"I am done for." Kobo muttered.
The cloaked man chuckled. "Is it now you're realizing?" His murmuring laugh, forever going to be imprinted on Kobo mind,
"Answer, what is your relationship with the Insti family?"
"I told you that's all I—
~Creak~
In the midst of silence, the creak of the door was heard.
Immediately, the man's senses heightened. "Yob, go check it out," he said with an ordering tone.
From behind him, another man in the same brown cloak as him answered, "Okay." The other's mouth was covered, along with his expression. Not voicing any other word, the man named Yob obeyed and quickly, headed to the door to find out who just entered.
"Huh?" gasped Yob.
He saw just a glimpse of Moonlight walking towards him. Instantly, his body was raised without his consent. Before Yob could even think, he found himself being flung outside, landing with a splat on the mushy sand. In the split-second, his mind regained thought. 'Dark skin, black hair,'
He realized. "Orb, an Adna!"
Yob yelled to warn his comrade but, that was simply useless.
Orb stood above the trembling Kobo. Adna was the one thing he picked up. He turned back and saw Moonlight staring at him. "Done thinking?" subtly asked Moonlight.
"Ahh!"
Orb reacted, pulling his sword off Kobo's wrist. In a flash, his instinct told him to attack and so he did. However, he was simply picked off the ground, his eyes were immediately covered by Moonlight and when it was open; he saw Yob still screaming that an Adna is there. 'What?' That was the only logical response he could give.
BAM!
The library doors close shut, leaving the two imposters outside in the rain, wondering what just happened to them.
"Yob, let's leave." Orb ordered immediately after regaining himself.
"Okay, but what about Nad."
"We're leaving him! They will understand."
At the same time, two of their colleagues walked through the hallways of the school, cloaked in black all over the body, eyes checking the place, carrying a mission in both minds.
"Ha…school, you don't think a child would be here, do you?" One of them said,
"No. If someone was actually here, it would be a teacher." The other replied.
"But isn't that a bad thing?"
"It is but, isn't that's what we are here for."
They both had been sent with a mission to scan for potential threats and from their looks they have found none. Both had their attention rose to the peak but were completely unaware that both of their men had already failed. Still, it had only been ten minutes since they entered the school compound.
Be done in less than fifteen minutes, anymore than that is failure.
This sentence played in both of their heads simultaneously, reminding them to not go overboard.
The school hallways had a feel like it was covered beneath a veil of the rain hammering just outside; the school was empty and the perfect time for anything to happen. Their faces looked serious, yet, 'Tch, this is too risky.'
Just then, their senses surged, and they stopped and turned.
There, right behind them, was Victor. He stood at the opposing hallway, eyes pierced into them. He was not letting them leave. "Who are you? What is your name? Are you here to enroll a child? If you are, please go downstairs."
"Oh, we are—
"Shut up."
The windows cracked as the figure of the two jumped through. "Are you stupid? We are leaving." They both landed on the ground and zoomed off quickly, leaving Victor to watch them as they trailed away from his sight.
"Two more at the library,"
