Before we continue where we left off, allow me to explain how this world works.. This is a varient of Earth, Similar to the one you know, but a major difference is the presence of "Breakouts". Breakouts are dimensional instabilities in the space-time continuum that bring, what was originally thought as fictional, to our reality. What is that exactly? Monsters, but the World Government acknowledges them as "Mobs".
Mobs can vary, there's no way to determine what can breakout out of these dimensional instabilities until they actually happen. Mobs vary in strength, often described as previous concepts humans have already made, such as Goblins or Witches.
Now, After the first ever Breakout, there has been an awakening of people who gain special magical abilities, via Mana, from a mysterious force. Due to this, the World Government hires them as "Rifters" under the new "Breakout Protocol", which allows World Government officals to hire Rifters and High-Ranking Rifters can create guilds to train and help weaker and younger Rifters.
Ranks are how the World Government assesses the strength and power of each Rifter. The ranks are of the following. F Rank- Weakest of the weak, usually works as clean up. E Rank- Can take on Lower leveled Mobs with a party. D Rank- They can take care of a Breakout of low leveled Mobs like Goblins by themselves. C Rank- They are usually known for excelling more in helping the higher ranks with support but also being able to handle themselves. B Rank- This is where the power of Rifters really gaps from the previous ranks, being able to use high levels of magic spells and abilities, usually leaders of Breakout Parties. A Rank- A Ranked Rifters normally do breakouts by themselves, normally finishing one up in three seconds. And finally, S Ranks- The strongest of the strong. S Ranks normally make their own guilds and deal with Government issues as well.
Mobs also have ranks so their strength is identifiable by the World Government. The Ranks of Mobs isn't the same as the Rifters. Mobs are considered more powerful than Humans Nine times out of Ten. However, the World Government gave them the same Ranking System as Rifters.
I would explain more, but wouldn't that take the fun out of the story? Now, lets continue where we left off, shall we?
Kaden opened his eyes slightly as the screen reappeared in his face.
"Skill Execution: Accelerate[Lv. 1]!"
In that instant, he surged towards the door, leaving a trail of lingering shadows behind him. He quickly grabbed his bat and points it at the goblin.
"I don't know what's happening.. Or whatever this weird game system thing is.. BUT YOU HURT MY FRIEND, YA DOBBY LOOKIN' ASSHOLE!"
As Kaden yelled out to the goblin, the screen appeared in front of his face again.
"QUEST!: Kill Goblin[0/1]!"
Kaden grinned brightly as he saw the screen.
"Now we're talkin'..!"
He rushes towards the Goblin and smashes his bat in its face. He quickly follows the smash with another wack to the face.
"BOOM! BOOM! HOW'D YA LIKE THAT!?"
The goblin looks at Kaden and slashes towards him, but Kaden swiftly parries the slash with his bat. The goblin swings his other arm upwards and stabs Kaden in his side.
"GHHH!!!.."
As the claw goes deeper in his side, Kaden groaned heavily.
"Geh..Geh..Geh.. GEH!!"
The goblin removes it's claw and shoves it in the same wound. Kaden breath becomes heavy as he feels himself getting weaker.
"I need.. To stay strong.. I need to.. Find a solution.."
As Kaden thinks about a solution, the screen pops up in front of him.
"Skill Execution: Code Observe[Lv.1]!"
When the screen disappeared, it instantly reappeared next to the goblin, telling it's stats.
"Goblin

Weakness: Blunt Force Trauma."
As Kaden looked deeply at the stats, his eyes began to glow a bright golden color. He smirked confidently, gritting his teeth, then gripped onto his bat with his right hand as he bled out from his wound. He felt the hot, sticky blood dripping but he refused to acknowledge it, pushing the pain to the corner of his mind.
"Ok! I Got you! AND IF IT'S THE LAST THING I'LL DO, I'LL KILL YOU AND SAVE MY FRIEND!!.."
He exclaimed loudly and gripped on his bat as he kicked the goblin away. As the goblin stumbled, Kaden gripped on his bat with his right hand.
"AYE BATTA BATTA! AYE BATTA BATTA! SWING!"
As he yelled, he mustered all of his strength into one swing to the goblin's head, flinging it into a wall. As the goblin hit the wall, it limped over and started to disintegrate into what seemingly was code. As it disintegrated, Kaden fell to his knees as the blood poured out at a slightly faster pace.
"Finally.."
As Kaden let out a soft sigh in relief, the screen popped up in front of him.
"QUEST COMPLETED!
REWARDS: 1 Goblin Core, Vial of Goblin Blood[x5], and 1 Potion of Regeneration."
Kaden looked at the screen as he scratched his head in confusion.
"Uhhhh.. What is this thing..?"
When he spoke, his eyes darted towards Chrissy's body.
"OH SHIT, CHRISSY!"
He bolted towards Chrissy's body, his shoes slamming against the ground with each step. As soon as Kaden got to her, he could see a red liquid dripping from her sides.
"Oh.. SHIIITTT!!!"
He exclaimed in panic. He touched her still-warm face, sighing in near relief.
"What should I do..?!"
The screen popped up prompty after he began to think.
"Inventory:
Metal Bat!
Goblin Core!
Vial of Goblin Blood[x5]!
Potion of Regeneration!"
He stared at the screen and saw the potion.
"I don't know what this is but I need that potion..!"
He reached into the screen and grabbed the potion, almost like it was instinct, as it disappeared from the screen's interface. While he held the potion, the screen disappeared then reappeared next to him.
"Skill Execution: Code Observe[Lv. 1]!"
The screen quickly appeared next to the potion, describing its properties. Kaden's eyes started to glow the exact same golden color as last time, but for some reason, the color's brightness intensified ten-fold.
"Potion of Regeneration: A potion used by lower leveled mob bosses to heal from near death injuries if given the opportunity, this can be used on humans."
Kaden quickly tilted Chrissy's head back, popped the cap of the potion, and opened her mouth slightly. He pressed the opening of the potion onto her lips and helped her drink it.
"Come on work.. Ahmad will beat my ass HARD if you die.."
His hands shake as he helped her drink the potion. She starts to open her eyes, beginning to choke on the potion. Kaden jolted back from here.
"OH MY GOD! CHRISSY I'm so sorry!"
She coughs slightly and beats on her chest.
"It's... HCH!.. Ok.. I don't know why you're saying sorry.. You saved my life, Kaden.."
Kaden smiled as his vision began to close in, sounds becoming muffled, his body becoming numb.
"I'm just glad you're ok, Chrissy.. Ahmad would've killed me if I let something bad happen.. to.. you.. on.. my watch.."
The pain he kept at the back of his mind hit him all at once, attacking him with fatigue as his adrenaline faded.
"Fuck my life.."
Kaden went limp and fell to the ground.
"KADEN!?"
Chrissy got up, at first surprised at her near instant recovery, but ignored the fact to help Kaden get up. As she helped him up, Ahmad walked through the door.
"Guys, you won't believe what-"
He looked at them as the closed the door behind himself and stood there in shock.
"What the hell happened.."
Chrissy was trying to put pressure on to Kaden's wound by pressing her palm up against it.
"HEEEELLPPP!!!"
Ahmad ran towards her and touched his wound. As soon as he pressed against his wound, a screen, similar to the one Kaden could see, appeared.
"Skill Execution: Raging Sun[Lv. 1]!"
He started to slightly burn Kaden's wound as a fire-like energy revolved around his arm. As the smell of Kaden's burning flesh filled the room, Kaden felt Ahmad's Mana burning into him, like a jagged fiery seam being sewed into his side.
"Ghhhh..!!"
Kaden grunted due to the pain and heat. He grabbed Ahmad's arm and looked at him.
"Ahmad.. Shit.. THIS SHIT HURTS, DUDE..!!"
He looks at Kaden and increased the heat slightly.
"WELL THAT'S TOO DAMN BAD!! I'M TRYIN' TO STOP YOU FROM DYIN'!!"
He increased the heat until Kaden's skin was sealed completely. He smacks Kaden's back and helps him onto the couch. Ahmad takes a deep breath before looking Kaden in the eyes.
"Can you explain WHY IN THE HELL were you injured..?"
Kaden looked at the kitchen.
"There was a rift- WAIT THE RIFT..!"
They all turn their heads towards the kitchen. As they looked, a green-skinned hand grabs onto the frame of the kitchen's entrance. Kaden turns his head to Ahmad.
"We still got trouble.."
Both of Kaden and Ahmad's screens pop up in front of them.
"QUEST!: Kill Goblin Mage[0/1]!"
They both look at each other and then looks at the goblin.
"Ahmad, I don't know what this- THING is and I don't know why you have it."
Ahmad chuckles slightly.
"I was gonna ask the same thing, and I was gonna ask how did you still get your ass beat.?"
Kaden punches Ahmad's arm.
"Ha.. Ha.. Very funny, Hinokami Fuckura.."
Chrissy looks at the both of them as her jaw tightens with rage, giving them both a hostile glare.
"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU 2 TALKING ABOUT!? THERES A MONSTER IN THE KITCHEN ABOUT TO POP HIS HEAD OUT THE ENTRY WAY OF THE KITCHEN!! AHMAD, GO KILL IT ALREADYYY!!"
They both looked at Chrissy in what seemed to be.. Fear? Near instantly, Kaden stands up from the couch and grips onto his bat, but he suddenly stops and jolts his head towards the kitchen.
"Aye Ahmad.."
Ahmad glanced at Kaden then tilted his head.
"Yea, what's up?"
Kaden pointed towards the kitchen as his hand shook in fear.
"Why hasn't the Goblin Mage come out the kitchen yet, and why does the air taste kind of.. Metallic?.."
All of their heads slowly pivoted towards the kitchen as they see lightning radiating from the kitchen. Ahmad whipped his head to Kaden's direction.
"It's charging an attack.. IT'S CHARGING AN ATTACK! YOU TWO, MOVE THE FUCK OUT THE WAY!!"
The Goblin Mage walks from the doorway while a loud crackle can be heard coming from his hand. It snapped as a white Lightning Bolt struck Ahmad.
"AHMAD!!"
Chrissy ran towards him, but he lifts up his hand as his other held onto the Lightning Bolt. A screen pops up next to Ahmad.
"Skill Execution: Flaresper[Lv. 3]!"
His hand, coated in a Telekinetic Fiery energy, holds onto the Lightning Bolt, nearly crushing it. He throws it right back at the Goblin Mage, striking it's leg.
"GEHHH!!.."
The Goblin Mage writhed in pain. Kaden cocked his head towards Ahmad and gazed at him.
"How the hell..? I knew his was strong.. But.. Never would I guess he was that strong.."
As Kaden thought about Ahmad, a screen popped up in front of him.
"Skill Execution: Code Observe[Lv. 1]!"
The screen popped up next to Ahmad and displayed his stats.
"Player: Ahmad
Level: 35
Classes: Spellcoder / Fighter
STR: 33
AGI: 24
DEX: 33
MNA: 55
INT: 20

Weakness: Left Shin."
Kaden stared at the screen then looked at Ahmad.
"Holy hell Ahmad.."
Ahmad pointed his arm at the Mob as he charged his Mana into his finger.
"Skill Execution: Burning Radiance[Lv. 3]!"
