"Why?"
"Why protect non-sorcerers?"
"We risk everything just for them?"
"What's the point?"
"Is it even worth it?"
Suguru Geto closed his eyes, haunted by the grotesque faces of the Star Plasma Cult members. Ever since the Star Plasma Vessel incident, a strange confusion had crept into his heart. The convictions he once held so firmly now felt riddled with holes.
Phew.
He exhaled slowly, slapping his cheeks to shake off the wandering thoughts.
"No matter the right path, strength is the best tool for pursuing one's ideals."
Geto's gaze hardened as his Cursed Energy surged. He could sense the critical threshold approaching; once reached, his Cursed Technique could ascend to a higher level. That meant constructing a miniature world within his Innate Technique—Domain Expansion.
Jujutsu Sorcerers who achieved such mastery had their names etched into history. Competitiveness came naturally to Geto.
Cursed Energy, Cursed Spirits, Domain…
The words flashed in his mind, and Cursed Energy erupted around him. His eyes snapped open, and his hands formed a precise seal: index, middle, and ring fingers intertwined, thumbs and pinkies pressed upright—the Mahamayuri Seal, also called the Peacock Wisdom King Seal.
"Domain Expansion: All Things in Nature!"
Satoru Gojo, chuckling moments ago, suddenly felt a massive surge of Cursed Energy. Teleporting to Geto's residence, his eyes immediately landed on the massive black sphere dominating the landscape.
His expression soured. He hadn't even had a chance to show off yet!
Inside Geto's Domain, black-water-like ground churned as Cursed Spirits emerged. Some were already tamed, others newly conjured from imagination. The black water surged, lifting Geto onto a high, imposing throne. Calmly, he surveyed the swarm of Cursed Spirits beneath him like a king.
"Does this mean the Domain consumes no Cursed Energy, allows infinite Cursed Spirit creation, and even makes them extensions of my own body?"
Geto explored his Domain's abilities with fascination. Normally, Cursed Spirit Manipulation treated spirits as separate entities. But within this Domain, they were extensions of him—like fingers of his own mind.
While pondering applications, Satoru's voice rang from outside.
"Suguru! Can you hear me?"
"Satoru?" The corner of Geto's mouth lifted. Shouldn't I show off a little?
He deactivated the Domain and waved with a casual smile.
"Yo, Satoru. Practicing my Domain Expansion—sorry for the lack of a proper welcome."
Geto deliberately emphasized "Domain Expansion."
Satoru's forehead twitched. "Smug, aren't we? You're already bragging about it?"
"Huh? Then show me yours."
"I did earlier. Currently in a cursed technique burnout period."
"Can't do it? Just admit it—I won't laugh."
Geto shrugged, making veins pop on Satoru's forehead.
"Damn it! Wait until tomorrow! Once my cooldown's over, my Domain will scare you stiff!"
Cursed technique burnout occurs after deactivating a Domain, preventing use of one's Innate Technique until recovery. Cursed Energy and Reverse Cursed Technique remain usable.
Facing Satoru, Geto agreed without hesitation. Both had mastered Domain Expansion, and Geto was eager to test whose was stronger.
The next day, they stood facing each other, eyes sharp with intent.
Simultaneously, their hands formed seals.
"Domain Expansion: Unlimited Void!"
"Domain Expansion: All Things in Nature!"
The Domains collided, locked in a stalemate like evenly matched wrestlers.
Satoru removed his sunglasses, revealing his azure eyes. "Suguru, my Domain forcibly floods the opponent with junk information, crashing their mind."
Geto raised an eyebrow. "A very special and powerful technique, indeed."
"Of course. Take this!"
Satoru released his technique, targeting Geto directly.
Note: In this version, Satoru's Domain is an active release, allowing selective targeting rather than affecting everyone in range.
Geto considered the possibilities of his Domain: infinite Cursed Spirits, treated as his own extensions. Unlike the Womb Profusion Field, which belongs to Kenjaku, Geto's Domain focused on manipulating nature itself, a subtle but powerful deviation from the original text.
The two stood ready, a silent promise in their eyes. Their Domains were equal, yet each sought to test the limits of the other.
