Chapter 54 - 54: The Family Head’s Decree

The Domain had been released.

Shion glanced at the still-dazed Yuji Itadori and Megumi Fushiguro.

"Stop daydreaming! Where is Sukuna's Finger?"

"Oh, oh! Here, here!" Yuji pulled a dark purple, dried finger from his pocket.

Gojo Shion grimaced. He didn't want to touch the thousand-year-old, saliva-covered relic, so he took out a talisman and had Megumi reseal it for him.

"Ah! Bro!"

Satoru Gojo appeared, wearing his black blindfold and carrying a box of sweets, a silly grin on his face.

Gojo Shion tapped him sharply on the head, a playful older-brother punch. "Your students were in danger, and I had to clean up your mess!"

Satoru Gojo crouched, wailing, "Gomenasai! I really didn't expect anything this big to happen!"

Seeing the aftermath of the battlefield, Satoru Gojo understood a major fight had taken place.

Gojo Shion recounted the events earnestly. "Satoru, as your older brother, I'll warn you: an unprecedented force is about to strike. Be prepared and don't let your guard down. Even if you can protect yourself, that doesn't mean you can protect your students and friends."

Satoru Gojo, finally serious, nodded. "Understood. I'll get ready. The daily chores of being Family Head are still annoying, though."

Gojo Shion disappeared with a grumble.

"Ah lectured by my brother at least save me some face in front of my students!" Satoru Gojo scratched his head, then smiled at Yuji. "Megumi is about to enroll. Itadori-kun, interested in being his classmate?"

Meanwhile, the Big Three Families convened.

"I disagree! This person should be executed immediately!" one elder insisted.

"I agree. Even though he hasn't swallowed Sukuna's Finger yet, he is still Sukuna's vessel. Better to remove the problem now!" another added.

According to intelligence, this vessel was created by Kenjaku. Who knew what tampering had been done? Executing him would be the safest course.

Most elders favored executing Yuji, despite his not yet swallowing the finger. Gradually, the room quieted, all eyes turning to the Gojo Family chief seat.

Gojo Shion, as Family Head, had influence, but many elder members had deeply rooted power. Coercion could backfire, so he proceeded carefully.

Even so, absolute martial power had its benefits. With Yuji's life at stake, everyone had to consider Gojo Shion's authority.

He spoke calmly, decisively: "Yuji Itadori will enroll as a freshman this year and become a Jujutsu Sorcerer who exorcises Cursed Spirits."

The elders frowned. This was clearly an intent to protect Yuji.

Zen'in Ogi, an elder, warned: "Gojo Family Head, executing Itadori ensures the Jujutsu World's safety, not for selfish reasons. Simply opposing us isn't necessary."

Gojo Shion laughed, a mix of irony and contempt. The elders' faces darkened.

"You're afraid of Sukuna's resurrection, afraid of death. Say so, don't hide behind excuses. Kenjaku has lived a thousand years—do you really think he only prepared Itadori as a vessel? Think carefully!"

"As for Sukuna..." Gojo Shion stood tall. "I will fight him!"

He looked around. "I've spoken. Who agrees? Who objects?"

Silence fell, broken only by Gojo Shion's arrogant voice.

Meanwhile, on a sunny beach, Jogo, smoking casually, glanced toward the domain entrance.

Kenjaku and Hanami limped into view, bloodied and struggling, supporting each other.

"What happened?" Jogo asked.

"Gojo… Gojo Shion! We encountered him!" Hanami spoke, purple blood flowing with every word.

Kenjaku struggled upright. "Misjudged him. Gojo Shion's strength far exceeds expectations!"

Jogo's anger flared. "You bastard! If Hanami weren't alive, I would have burned you!"

Hanami intervened: "Don't blame him. Gojo Shion's strength is overwhelming. If Kenjaku hadn't summoned the Crimson Hannya, we might have died!"

Jogo relaxed slightly, smoke puffing from his head. "Is Gojo Shion really that strong?"

"Yes. Both Hanami and I were beaten to this state," Kenjaku admitted.

Jogo smirked confidently. "Then what if it were me?"

As the strongest of the four disaster Cursed Spirits, Jogo had pride. He believed he could remain undefeated even if facing Kenjaku and Hanami.

Kenjaku shook her head. "You really can't defeat Gojo Shion, Jogo."

"Really?" Fire flickered atop Jogo's head.

Hanami added cautiously: "He might truly be unbeatable, Jogo."

Nearby, Mahito and Dagon nodded. "Since Hanami said it, perhaps Gojo Shion really is very strong. Jogo, don't take risks."

Hmph. Jogo accepted the advice but remembered the so-called strongest trio of the Jujutsu World: Gojo Shion, Gojo Satoru, and Suguru Geto.

"Kenjaku, what do you think of Gojo Shion's younger brother, Satoru Gojo?"

Kenjaku hesitated. "He's strong, but not as strong as Gojo Shion."

Jogo exhaled smoke. "Then Kenjaku, how many Sukuna Fingers do you think my strength equals?"

"Seven or eight, probably."

Jogo smiled sinisterly. "Since Gojo Shion hurt Hanami, I'll let him feel the loss of a loved one. Kenjaku, leave the Prison Realm to Gojo Shion. As for Satoru Gojo, I'll deal with him."
