Chapter 6: Conquering Pichu and Encountering Serena
Under an unknown berry tree, a Pichu was holding a berry and confronting a Nidorino.
"Pi~~~chu!!"
The Pichu's cheeks were glowing with Quick Attack, looking quite unapproachable at first glance.
"Ni nuo!!"
The Nidorino's eyes were fixed on the berry the Pichu was holding, and it let out a low growl. Although the berry was sour and not to its taste, that didn't mean the yellow-skinned rodent could come to its territory and take the berry away.
Ash was also a little surprised to see the Pichu and Nidorino facing off, but the sense of familiarity the Pichu gave him was very peculiar.
"Pika?"
As if sensing Ash, the Pichu tilted its head and looked in Ash's direction.
Just as the Pichu was distracted, the Nidorino, in a very unsportsmanlike manner, used Horn Attack.
Ash was almost certain that this Pichu was the Pikachu with whom he would have a special bond in the future. Knowing this, how could he let his Pika God be ambushed?
He used Aura to put a shield around the Pichu, then conjured an Aura Sphere with his bare hands and launched it at the Nidorino.
Although Ash didn't use much force, the Aura Sphere still changed the Nidorino's direction of attack. Unable to stop, it crashed headfirst into the trunk of the berry tree.
"Pichu, are you okay?" Ash knelt down and asked the Pichu.
"Pi~" (Thank you, human.)
With the blessing of Aura and the Psychic ability bestowed by Mew, Ash could clearly understand the Pichu's words.
"Pichu, my name is Ash, and my dream is to become a Pokémon Master. Do you want to come with me and become my family and partner? We'll work hard to become stronger together!"
"Pi~ Pichu?" (What are dreams, family, and partners?)
The Pichu looked at Ash in confusion.
Upon hearing this, Ash was startled. He hadn't expected the Pichu to not even know this, and then he seriously explained it to the Pichu.
When the Pichu understood, its eyes involuntarily lit up, and its nimble eyes showed a longing.
From its birth until now, seeing groups of Pokémon, it always felt like it was missing something, and when it saw the lives of those Pokémon, it always revealed a hint of longing.
The Pichu also felt a strange sense of familiarity from Ash, and looking into Ash's clear and sincere eyes, it slowly extended a small, short hand.
"Then, please take care of me from now on, Pichu!"
Ash reached out and picked up the Pichu, placing it on his shoulder.
"Pichu~"
Just like that, one person and one mouse officially formed a bond.
After confirming the Pichu's attitude, Ash, for once, opened the system's Pokémon information inquiry function.
The system's detection function can digitize any Pokémon's information. The reason Ash hadn't activated this function was that he deliberately turned it off to train himself. In his opinion, the system was ultimately an external tool; only the knowledge he mastered truly belonged to him.

Pika God, it's truly you. These abilities are really awesome.
Seeing the Pichu's three abilities, Ash was filled with emotion.
"Ding! Detected that the host has established a bond with the future Pika God in advance. Reward: 10000 points, Super Light Ball * 1, Pichu and Pikachu custom top-tier energy cube 5-year quota, one million Alliance coins."
"Oh wow, this system is really good. The meal package is great °˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖°."
The energy cubes produced by the system are much better than those of the same grade on the market. With a five-year supply, Ash can save a lot of resources.
Ash took out a Luxury Ball from his system space, "Pichu, are you willing to enter the Poké Ball and officially become the first Pokémon in my life?"
"Pichu?"
The Pichu tilted its head, looking at the Luxury Ball in Ash's hand in confusion.
"A Poké Ball is a tool for Pokémon and humans to form a bond...."
Ash explained the information about the Poké Ball to the Pichu.
After listening, the Pichu nodded as if it understood, then extended a small hand and directly patted the Luxury Ball. With a red light, the Pichu entered the Luxury Ball.
Since it was voluntarily caught, the Luxury Ball only shook symbolically twice before emitting the successful capture sound, "Dong."
"I successfully caught Pichu!"
Ash held up the Luxury Ball and shouted loudly.
After striking a pose, the next second, a white light burst from the Luxury Ball, and the Pichu reappeared on Ash's shoulder.
Compared to the red and white Poké Ball with the lightning bolt symbol in the original work, the space inside the Luxury Ball was much better, but the Pichu truly disliked the feeling of being inside the ball and broke free on its own.
...
"Is anyone there?"
Under a tree on the outskirts of Viridian Forest, Serena was huddled in fear. The quiet forest made her very uneasy; she felt that danger was all around her.
Serena's eyes were red, and she sobbed softly, "I shouldn't have come if I knew it would be like this. Summer Camp is so annoying!"
She had been chasing a pink Butterfree and unknowingly ran to her current location. When she realized she had entered a place she shouldn't have and tried to go back, she accidentally sprained her ankle.
Now her ankle was sprained, and moving it even slightly caused excruciating pain, so she could only helplessly call for help, hoping someone would come to rescue her.
"Are you also here for the Summer Camp?"
Just then, a boy's voice sounded in Serena's ear.
The sudden voice filled Serena with surprise. She looked up and saw a boy quite a bit taller than her, with a Pichu standing on his shoulder.
This boy was naturally Ash. After successfully catching the Pichu, he immediately rushed to find Serena.
"Mm!" Serena responded weakly, her face flushed.
Ash glanced at Serena's swollen ankle and asked softly, "Are you hurt?"
"Yes... yes." Serena shyly lowered her head.
"Do you mind if I check it for you? I learned common injury treatment from Professor Oak before."
"You... you can."
With Serena's consent, Ash squatted down and carefully examined Serena's injury.
"It's just a sprain, no bone damage. Are there any other injuries besides your ankle?" Ash asked.
"No, no more."
"Okay, then I'll give you some basic treatment for now, and then I'll take you back to the camp."
With that, Ash pretended to take out a medicinal spray from his pocket. This was a Potion he had bought from the system store for fifty points.
The Pichu looked at its newly recognized litter box cleaner... bah, Trainer, fawning over a human of the opposite sex, and couldn't help but fall into contemplation.
Pichu: So love can be transferred, right?
As soon as the medicine was sprayed, Serena clearly felt the pain in her ankle greatly reduced.
"Thank you, my name is Serena, and I'm from Vaniville Town in the Kalos region. If it weren't for you, I wouldn't know what to do."
"My name is Ash, and I'm from Pallet Town. This is my partner, Pichu. Actually, even if I hadn't found you, Professor Oak would have come looking for you."
"No matter what, you saved me....."
Serena didn't care about any of that; she was convinced that Ash had saved her.
"Although I've applied the medicine, your injury will still take a lot of time to recover. I'll take you back to the camp first to have a professional doctor look at it."
Ash didn't wait for Serena's response and directly picked her up in a standard princess carry.
He wasn't as dense as Ash in the original work, wasting the opportunity for intimate contact with his future wife.
As for why it wasn't a piggyback ride, it was naturally to show his boyfriend strength... bah, it was because he was afraid the Pichu on his shoulder would get jealous.
