Chapter 69: Conquering Jigglypuff
Dark City, Pokémon Center.
After the battle, it was already evening, and Ash and the others decided to stay overnight and depart the next day.
After dinner, Misty asked the question she had been wanting to ask: "Ash, Nurse Joy, what kind of Pokémon was that?"
"Right, Ash, judging by your tone earlier, that Pokémon called Latias must be quite extraordinary, correct?" Brock also asked.
"Latias, like Zapdos, is a legendary Pokémon. She is the guardian deity of the Water Metropolis of Alto Mare in the Hoenn region, an Infinite Pokémon, and a powerful Dragon-type and Psychic-type Pokémon. "Ash, have you been to the Water Metropolis?" Misty asked curiously.
"No, I haven't, but maybe we'll pass through there when we travel to the Hoenn region."
"The Hoenn region, huh?" Misty also seemed to yearn for it.
The Water Metropolis, just hearing it, sounded like a place with many Water-type Pokémon.

The next day, early in the morning, the three resumed their journey.
As soon as they entered the forest, the three saw a Jigglypuff.
At first glance, Ash realized that this Jigglypuff was indeed the one from the original story that traveled with idiot through the latter half of Kanto, the Orange Islands, and the Hoenn region.

Hearing Ash's guess, Jigglypuff nodded, then looked at Ash with a longing gaze, as if asking if he could teach her.
Pikachu confidently ran in front of Jigglypuff and sang rhythmically: "Pikachu Pikachu Pi..."
Then, Jigglypuff pouted her little mouth and flew up, kicking Pikachu in the back.
"Pika?" Pikachu looked around, somewhat confused.
Ash held Jigglypuff's head and admonished her: "Jigglypuff, you can't do that!"
"Poolili!" Jigglypuff turned her head away.
"Never mind, let's go look for some berries that are good for the voice," Ash said.
He remembered that in the original story, Brock solved Jigglypuff's inability to Sing that way.
"Berries?" Brock recalled for a moment and said uncertainly, "I think I just saw one, but I don't know if it's the right kind."
"Let's go see," Ash said, picking up Jigglypuff.
Even if it wasn't, he could buy it through the system, but its sudden appearance would be hard to explain.
Led by Brock, they quickly found the berries.
Ash picked a berry and said, "Jigglypuff, eat this, and you should be able to Sing."

Looking at the sleeping Pikachu and Misty, Ash sighed, "This song is simply a godsend for insomniacs!"

Jigglypuff saw that Misty and the others had fallen asleep listening to her song, and immediately puffed up in anger. Her small eyes searched everywhere for something to retaliate against them with.
"Jigglypuff, your song is beautiful! Do you want to come with me? I can let more people appreciate your singing!" Ash said.
Jigglypuff saw that Ash could listen to her entire song without falling asleep and immediately stopped being angry. She didn't think much of it and jumped directly back into Ash's arms.
Ash also timely took out a Luxury Ball and touched Jigglypuff with it.
"Ding, detected that the host has captured Jigglypuff, received reward: five thousand points, Master-level song and lyric writing ability, top-tier singing skill, 'Chinese Music Library' * 1"
"???"
Again?
Ash was speechless. Why were these rewards so similar to the ones he got when he caught Gastly last time!
