Chapter 265: Mother and Child Reunited
After hitting Tyranitar with the large net, it was instantly bound up like a mummy.
Tyranitar opened its mouth to unleash a Hyper Beam, intending to break free from the net's restraint, but the net was clearly made of a special material; the more it struggled, the tighter it became, which also prevented it from releasing the Hyper Beam properly.
"What is going on?" Misty asked, puzzled.
"Hahaha, hello there!" Gill and his group appeared in their vehicle in front of Ash and the others.
"We'll be taking Tyranitar with us."
"Once caught by the Pokémon capture bag I invented, no matter how powerful the Pokémon is, it will never be able to escape."
"Everything is going according to my calculations!"
The three of them stood on top of the cockpit, striking a pose.
"I feel like I've seen these people somewhere before," Brock said.
Ash reminded him, "We saw these three poachers yesterday in Larvitar's inner world, and they are notorious villains in the Johto region."
"Larvitar!"
Seeing their enemy, Larvitar's eyes became sharp with resentment.
"Larvitar, teach them a lesson! Use Hyper Beam!" Ash said.
"Larvitar~"
Larvitar let out a roar, its little mouth lit up with a white light, and then a Hyper Beam was fired.
This Hyper Beam scared the three of them into scrambling back into their vehicle in a panic.
Having lost face, Gill said furiously, "Damn brat, take that Larvitar away with them as well."
"Yes, boss!"
Kiko aimed the capture net at Larvitar again.
"In your dreams! Pikachu, use Thunderbolt!"
"Pika~chu!"
Although this criminal group's equipment was better than that of the Team Rocket Trio, they had never fought against Ash and his friends, nor did they know the extent of Pikachu's power. Moreover, their vehicle had no electrical shielding.
Facing the Thunderbolt that Pikachu unleashed with full seriousness, they didn't even have a chance to run away. The entire vehicle was overloaded by Pikachu's electricity, causing it to break down and fall apart.
The three of them sat on the remains of the vehicle, covered in soot, with question marks all over their heads.
They had been active for over a decade, only to be taken down by an electric mouse; it was truly frustrating.
In mid-air, inside the Team Rocket Trio's hot air balloon.
"Pikachu is as powerful as always, Meowth!" Meowth sighed.
"Who are these Pokémon hunter brothers anyway? With just this little bit of skill, they want to steal things from the Ash? The most infuriating thing is that these guys even copied us and created a pose; they deserve to be caught!"
Jessie felt instantly satisfied seeing the Gill team get taken down.
"That's right, what gives them the right to copy us? No, I'm going to teach them a lesson!"
James said, looking around for a suitable tool.
"James, stop looking, Meowth. Our funds are seriously low, and the last weapon we had was sold last night to pay for dinner," Meowth advised.
"What?" James couldn't believe it was true.
...
After tying up the three Gill brothers, a motorcycle appeared behind Ash and the others.
On the motorcycle was a girl wearing sunglasses. "What are you doing in the Pokémon reserve?"
Behind the girl sat a Croconaw.
"This place is off-limits to the general public, didn't you know?"
After the girl took off her sunglasses, Brock immediately got excited and started acting up. Without saying a word, he rushed over: "Oh, are you Ms. Muto, the Pokémon Ranger?"
Muto nodded. "Ye... yes, I am."
"I knew it! I was entrusted by Professor Elm to come here specifically to meet you..." Brock leaned in enthusiastically.
"Alright, alright, pervert, please don't get in the way of people working!" Misty dragged Brock away, speechless.
"Ms. Muto, I am Ash from Pallet Town. We were entrusted by Professor Elm to bring Larvitar back to reunite with its mother. Also, these three guys are the poachers who stole Larvitar's egg in the first place," Ash explained.
Upon hearing this, Muto immediately said enthusiastically, "Oh, so you are Ash! Professor Elm just contacted me, saying you would be arriving soon. I didn't expect to meet you here."
"I'm very sorry, we came over from the suspension bridge over there, so we didn't take the normal route."
"It's fine. Professor Elm said that you are a powerful Pokémon Trainer, and those three guys are indeed at the top of our reserve's wanted list."
Given the notoriety of the three Gill brothers, Muto picked up her walkie-talkie and said a few words. Soon, a group of rangers in orange uniforms arrived and took the three of them away.
After briefly learning the full sequence of events, Muto also rode off on her bike.
After untying Tyranitar, its hostility toward Ash and the others disappeared.
Seeing Tyranitar let go of its prejudice against Ash and his friends, Larvitar also completed its reunion with Tyranitar.
After spending the night in the reserve, Tyranitar solemnly handed the Larvitar in its arms to Ash.
"Tyranitar, thank you for your trust. I will definitely take good care of Larvitar!" Ash said.
Tyranitar smiled and nodded slowly. After a night of understanding, it had learned about Ash's character from its child, and it was willing to trust its child's judgment.
"Ash, why don't we send Tyranitar to Professor Oaks Laboratory? That way, it will be much more convenient for Tyranitar to see Larvitar in the future," Misty suggested.
"That makes sense." Ash nodded thoughtfully, then looked at Tyranitar and said, "Tyranitar, would you like to go live in a place very close to Larvitar?"
Upon hearing this, Tyranitar was stunned for a moment, then happily nodded in agreement.
Seeing this, Ash took out a Poké Ball and said, "Tyranitar, after you enter the Poké Ball, I will teleport you to a place where you can live comfortably. I will bring Larvitar to see you in a while."
Tyranitar nodded, then reached out a hand to touch the Poké Ball, allowing itself to be caught voluntarily.
After Ash teleported the Poké Ball back to Professor Oaks Laboratory, he sent a message to Professor Oak and Tracy, informing them about Tyranitar.
Just as he finished doing all this, Muto came looking for him again.
Ash got straight to the point: "Ms. Muto, you came just in time. There's something I want to tell you. I just sent that Tyranitar to Professor Oaks Laboratory."
"Eh? Ash, you know Professor Oak?" Muto looked at Ash, somewhat shocked.
"Yes, I studied at Professor Oak's laboratory for a while when I was little," Ash said casually.
"I see. Alright, I will record this later. It was indeed our fault for not protecting Tyranitar and Larvitar's egg properly before. Professor Oak being willing to accept that Tyranitar is a huge blessing for us."
The group walked and talked.
Soon, Muto led Ash to the side of a small path.
She said, "Ash, keep going down this path, and you will reach the vicinity of Silver. Good luck with the Silver Conference!"
"Okay, I will strive to win the championship," Ash said confidently.
