Chapter 3 - Entering the Dungeons

Hill completed all the D-rank missions and returned to the guild to obtain the B-rank. He said, "Hello, Liana. I've completed all the D-rank missions, which involved gathering medicinal herbs, helping people kill crop-damaging animals, and protecting them from bandits." Liana exclaimed, "What?! You've only been registered for a week! The first adventurer to achieve the B-rank in such a short time! Well, here's your new B-rank card. Now you can enter the dungeons to kill monsters and level up!" Hill replied, "Thank you, Liana." Everyone in the guild was talking about a young man who had surpassed the D rank in just a few days. Hale's enthusiasm made him want to know everything about the dungeons. He said to her, "I want to know everything about the dungeons." She replied, "I advise you to go to the public library. You'll find everything you need to know there." Hale went to the library and found the librarian. He asked him, "Please give me books about the dungeons." The librarian replied, "These are all the books, but we only know about the 50th floor. The rest is unknown." Hale spent all his time there until the library closed. He left and returned to the Adventurers' Inn, where he slept. Before going to sleep, he kept thinking about how to level up quickly.

The sun rose, and a beautiful morning awaited Hale. He went to the Adventurers' Equipment Shop. He entered, and the shopkeeper said, "Welcome to the finest Adventurers' Equipment Shop. What can I do for you?" Hale replied, "Hello, my name is Hale, and I'd like this dagger. It really caught my eye. How much does it cost?" The shopkeeper replied, "Excellent choice! This dagger is light and easy to use. It costs one gold coin and three silver coins." He bought it, and as he left the shop, he overheard people talking about the dungeons. All the adventurers of the B and A ranks had left because monsters of lower ranks had infiltrated the upper levels, and the guild had forbidden entry to all but S-rank members. However, Hale decided to enter, disregarding the guild's warning. Upon arriving at the dungeon's location, he found a large tree trunk with a wide entrance and a guard. Hale approached, and the guard said, "Let me see your card. Today, only S-rank members are allowed." Hale thought to himself, "He'll refuse and won't let me in." He replied to the guard, "I only came to confirm the rumors. Look, someone has entered without your permission." Hale activated his cloaking. The guard exclaimed, "Where did he disappear to?! Could it be that he was an S-rank member who entered without my noticing his speed?"

He crept inside and felt a terrifying card, but this only fueled his courage and enthusiasm. As Hel walked, a group of Vuplas attacked him. He drew his dagger and swiftly attacked them, stabbing them one by one until he killed them all. The screen displayed:

Hel then said: "New ability activated: Hell Chains!" He gathered all the Goblin's magic stones and continued downwards until he found a safe place where adventurers gathered to regain their strength. The place was protected by a magical barrier, preventing monsters from entering. He descended and continued to the next dungeon, whereupon the Hellhounds attacked him with flameballs. He thought, "These monsters aren't very strong; they haven't infiltrated here. I can fight them." But Hel grew stronger and faster, dodging them left and right. He shouted, "I'll fight you your way—with magic!" He struck them with several hellfire balls, burning them to ashes. The remaining Hellhounds began barking for help, and many arrived. But suddenly, Hel felt the same magical power he had felt when he first entered, and even the Hellhounds began to flee, sensing the danger.

Suddenly, a giant worm emerged from the ground. Hel exclaimed, "What are you doing here? This worm is on the 37th floor and is known for absorbing magic!" He asked, "Should I retreat?!" The worm attacked him with a sticky, rock-melting liquid, but he dodged it and struck it with a hellfire ball. However, the worm absorbed it. Hel said, "So what they said about her is true."

Hel attacked with all his speed, stabbing the worm in the back with his dagger. The worm felt the stab and dragged him down to the 37th basement. The worm struck him, sending him flying across the rocks. Blood gushed from his mouth. Encouraged, Hel rose, his expression changing. He said, "Chains of Hell!" He pinned the worm as it screamed, gathering all his magical power into a massive ball of hellfire. He struck it against the worm, which tried to absorb it, but the amount of magic it contained was overwhelming. It swallowed the ball whole, and after a few seconds, it exploded. The screen displayed "Summoning the Hell Knight Available."
