The transfer from Cyntara to the main company had gone so smoothly that Roseanne barely had time to process it. Everything was handled for her, all she had needed was to spend one last day at Cyntara saying her goodbyes. Abigail, her trusted junior, had clung to her in tears, terrified she would never measure up as Roseanne's replacement. Roseanne had hugged her and reassured her more than once that she was more than ready, that she would be amazing.
Now, standing in the executive assistant office at Romano Enterprises, everything felt both familiar and new. There were four people on the team, including herself, and she quickly realized she was the only woman. The others were all male secretaries.
