The sheriff stood in front of us next to Larissa, both Wednesday and I sitting next to each other, looking at them.
"No body, no footprints and not even a sign of struggle found." The sheriff said while both Wednesday and I stared at eachother.
"You don't just miss a bloody mess you know? It was drenched when I got there." I said repeating the same 'half-lie' Wednesday made up for us.
"I saw it with my eyes as the monster opened Rowan up, I doubt you even brought dogs with you." Wednesday say,even when her voice was the same I could sense the same feeling I was having, frustration, somehow someone covered up the assassination and no one but us thinks the other is telling the truth.
"What were you both doing in the woods anyways?" Larissa said staring between Wednesday and me.
'Gosh we're 15 what kind of freak she thinks we are...' I thought watching at Wednesday and then remembered how I am.
'Well she's completely right about us being freaks but we're not freaky...' I kept thinking.
"I already said I just followed them while she was running away from some normies trying to hurt her..." I said while looking at the sheriff,almost accusing.
"Yeah about that you're having a report about it."
"Uh!? So they're not getting shit after following a defenseless girl with bats but I do when I step up!?" I said holding both arms up.
"Yeah I don't know about Addams here being defenseless but you know outcast reputation and how I can't just make a blind eye. All four of you are getting a report." The sheriff said.
"And if you don't have any proof of that kid's dead more than just that he ran away for some reason then I don't have any particular idea of why staying here..." He said straightening his back and turning to the door.
"Actually I would like a word with sheriff Galpin, alone." Wednesday said staring at Larissa.
"I don't think I can allow that."
"We can go to the station and get a statement from both of you then." He said suddenly interested.
Both the sheriff and Larissa looked at each other,but the upper hand was obviously on the authority side as soon as it tried pressing on.
"Yeah get up." He said almost turning back before Larissa started standing up herself.
"5 minutes and everything said if off the record." She said walking towards the door.
After she closed the door Wednesday stood up and went face to face with sheriff Galpin.
"Someone is covering up Rowan's assassination, thus why they smugged the crime scene."
"I didn't know you could smug a dead body and a monster in what? From midnight to morning." He replied fast.
"You kept trying to reject what I saw but you can't..."
"You know there's a monster out there killing people and I'm the first one to witness it..." Wednesday said lowering the tone of her voice but somehow getting more emotion.
The door from the office opened and a officer came up.
"Sheriff?"
"What?"
"You'll wanna see this..." She said opening the other door, revealing Rowan next to her with a stupid smile.
I immediately rushed in front of him touching his neck,then his chest and ended on his abdomen, all the places where he was cut/opened.
"I didn't know doctors could revive people..." I said,my tone growing skepticism as I looked at Wednesday in a dumbfounded state.
...
"She said she was going to the psychologist and I'm still wondering if there's even one out here..." I said walking around the main street in Jericho.
After the not so casual encounter with 'Rowan' Wednesday immediately had to go and Larissa took her out, and thankfully even after the report I still had my well earned right to go out to Jericho thanks to perfect performance in classes and the fencing team.
After a while I was almost about give up a voice called for me.
"Hey dude!" I heard a teenager voice and as soon as I turned my back I recognized him.
"You should be uh... Tyler no?" I asked not so sure.
"Yeah yeah, do you know where is Wednesday?" Tyler asked to me looking around.
'Why the hell is he looking for her?' I thought to myself before everything clicked in my head.
'Is he like something to her...? Or maybe he's trying to...'
'Either way if I tell him I may lose my opportunity to talk with Wednesday myself about the new information I know.'
"Ah nah dude sorry, and actually I also need to know something, do you know where the psychologist is here?" I asked right away.
"Ah that's a shame... and the psychologist must be right over there." He said pointing at a white two level building at the other side of the place.
"Thank you dude." I said turning my back before he started talking me more about Wednesday, somehow the idea of losing the change to tell her my important thing annoyed me more than it should.
'And if he's trying to get in a relationship with her I'm just doing him a favor either way...'
As soon as I entered the white building I bumped into Wednesday who just looked up at me almost annoyed by my presence.
"Are you stalking me now? I thought you said you'd be looking for more clues."
"Yeah and I got one so good you'd be dead in the spot."
Wednesday looked around the street and started walking.
"Follow me, I don't like so much people." She said.

"Can I get what she asked?"
"So it'll be two quad over ice then..." The teenager girl said before turning around.
"I expected another person." Wednesday said looking at the girl.
"OK Wednesday first thing to explain what i found I have to explain the progess of how I heal people..."
"First I just don't heal them instantly, I first must know how they're, at least on the part I'm trying to heal..."
"That explains why you touched my other cheek when you healed my other one..." Wednesday said before I could even brought that one up.
"Uh uh exactly, so when I checked Rowan laying down on the ground I also took in how he was." I said while I passed my fingers over where the cuts were made in Rowan.
Wednesday opened her eyes a bit more, getting herself more involved on what I was saying.
"But when he supposedly came back..."
"He felt different, thus why you looked so skeptical." Wednesday said as the girl bartender put two cups of coffee in front of us.
"Yeah so I assume there's a shapeshifter working also working to cover up the whole thing..." I said leaning back while taking the cup, taking a sip from the straw, unfazed by the huge amount of caffeine.
"I must admit I'm impressed..." Wednesday said.
"By my impressive ability which came to clutch in knowing more about this mystery?" I said trying to draw a compliment from the dry girl.
"Impressed by how unfazed you are with this coffee, it's supposed to be everything but good." She said taking a sip from it herself, pleased with the taste of pure caffeine.
"When the only thing you had for food your entire life was just air and sometimes your own arm to let go of stress, you start loving all kinds of food..." I said carelessly, not even realizing I might have said something about my past.
"Uh also Wednesday, that Tyler boy was looking for you before I found you." I said suddenly remembering.
"And what did you say?"
"I said what benefited me better, that I didn't know."
"Then I asked him where the psychologist is and he told me..." I said with a smile to myself thinking it was a clever move.
"Initially I thought I'd find him here." She said taking another sip of coffee.
"Hmm?"
"He works here, but I wouldn't know why he's looking for me."
"Because he likes you..." I said quickly replying to her.
"It's obvious and I just interacted with him two times..."
"What makes you say that?"
"Because as much fun as you're to be around, for anyone else's eyes you're a prideful girl who feels that she's on top of everyone in the same room..." I said pointing at her accusing.
"I do not feel better than anyone-"
"Cut it Wednesday, You know he likes you and it feeds your ego. But with me it's different."
"Care to explain?" She said, her defenses raised as she looked straight to me eyes, I knew a talk like this would be necessary and I'm immovable.
"I'm sticking around with you because you opened up with me and Enid, because you're involved to this mistery and willingly trying to uncover it..." I said firmly.
"And you're fun to be around... you're already tired of my shit so why not just keep going with my annoying things and nag you..."
Wednesday looked down,this time my words hitting between many layers and hitting exactly where they were aimed, her ego.
"So don't think I'm another pawn in your chess game where you don't know who's moving the black pieces..."
"Unless you treat me like a friend... or at least an equal, I'll be taking my own side on this thing." I said tapping my hand to the table.
Now it's her choice, stick to her pride and ego and go alone. Or take the other path and eat it up and admit my help would be good for her own.
She kept looking down for more time before finally returning to face me.
"Fine."
"Dante, you're my first friend aside of Nero." She said taking her cup and standing up.
"And now as the incredible good friend I am I have to pay..." I muttered watching her leave the shop, even if I'm virtually millionaire, leaving some money on the table made me feel used.
I quickly tried catching up with her but I saw how she was talking with Tyler.
After a minute or two he left and I approached.
"Did he ask you out?" I said what was on the 80% chance of being true.
"He says he believes me about the assassination." She responded.
"Well that's good no? Ain't he the son of someone important?"
"Son of the sheriff."
"Oh good,so as long as you correspond some of his approaches we'll be able to get information..." I said pointing at her with a finger.
"Didn't you just say to not let get my ego feed from him?" She said raising her eyebrow.
"Yeah but this one has a reasoning and still, do you have feelings for him?"
"No."
"Then it's all fine, every teenager has their heart broken once in a while."
"Hmm yeah..."She said,sounding almost convinced.
"I'll even act like a jealous pretender if that makes him try to win your heart more by giving you information!" I said just creating more ideas to convince.
"You act like a jealous guy over me and I'll make sure to find a way to make you suffer somehow..." she said looking at me upclose.
"At least you don't get ego trips from the idea of two guys fighting for you..."
