Chapter 19

You Are a Demon

Morning came quickly.

Arthur woke quietly and slowly lifted his head.

He was inside a narrow room devoid of any sense of order or organization. Plastic bags were scattered in every corner, empty food containers lay around, and the smell of old ramen filled the place.

He glanced around

and saw Seoyoung standing near the small stove, preparing ramen in silence.

Arthur said as he rose to his feet,

"It's been a long time since I ate ramen… Kid, how long was I asleep?"

Seoyoung approached, placed the bowl in front of him, then sat across from him calmly.

"When I woke up, it was around midnight… and now it's eight in the morning.

I dragged you inside."

Arthur smiled faintly and began to eat.

The taste was simple, but warm.

Then he looked at Seoyoung and asked,

"Tell me… what do you feel when you hold the sword?"

Seoyoung lightly struck his head, as if trying to drive away a thought.

"I hear a voice… it talks to me.

It tells me how to swing the sword, how to move.

Have I… finally gone insane, Arthur?"

Arthur smiled calmly.

"No, kid.

It's the sword… or rather, the spirit of the sword itself."

He paused for a moment, then continued in a quieter voice,

"But tell me now… what's your story?

I know you want revenge for your parents, but I don't know what happened.

If you want to talk, then talk. If you don't… no one will force you."

Seoyoung's body trembled.

Fear, pain, and hatred… all merged into a single shiver.

Arthur sighed, then stood before him.

"Get up, kid.

It's time for your training.

Bring the sword and follow me."

He said it and went out to the rooftop again.

Minutes later, Seoyoung climbed up, panting.

Sweat poured down his body, the heavy sword hanging behind his back.

Arthur spoke in a firm tone,

"Listen carefully.

Your body is weak… disgracefully so.

You can't use the sword right now, so for the next six months we'll focus only on strengthening your body.

Get on the ground and start with twenty push-ups."

Seoyoung complied.

He placed his hands on the ground, trying to lower his body…

but the weight of the sword made him collapse, his face slamming hard against the floor.

Arthur sighed and sat in front of him.

"Kid… I don't know what you've been through,

but remember this well:

If you don't become strong, the same play will be repeated…

and you'll be the actor in it once again."

He leaned closer, his voice growing harsher.

"Do you want to die?

Do you want those you love to be hurt because of your weakness?

Or do you want to crush those who bullied you?"

His voice sharpened.

"Kill them…

Slaughter them…

Torture them in the most horrific ways."

Seoyoung trembled.

"They bullied you because you were kind…

weak…

a fool."

Then he said coldly,

"So what will you do?

Will you remain silent and endure the pain?

Or will you stand…

strike…

kill…

and become the demon they created through your weakness?"

Arthur pressed Seoyoung's head down forcefully, smashing it against the ground.

Blood flowed from the boy's mouth, his groans mixing with his ragged breathing.

But…

something changed.

His dark eyes turned into glowing red.

His blue hair faded, then became pure white.

Anger and pain burned in his heart.

The sword on his back seemed to glow faintly, as though it were feeding him power.

He struck the ground with his fist, then stood up.

Blood streamed from his mouth and forehead, but he did not feel it.

He looked at the sky, then at Arthur.

"I'll kill them…

I'll kill them all without distinction.

Humans… are nothing but sheep, ready for slaughter."

Arthur smiled—a wicked smile.

A demon's smile.

Then the training began.

A day passed…

then two…

then a month…

then two months.

Six months passed…

like a fleeting breath.

After the six months ended, Arthur learned the full truth.

The bullying had come from the sons of powerful figures.

Seoyoung had fallen into a coma for nine months.

When he woke up… his parents had died because of them.

All that anger…

all that hatred…

Arthur refined it and directed it himself.

Arthur now stood with a stronger body.

His muscles had become more defined,

and his hair had grown long—he had not cut it out of respect for Seoyoung and his parents.

Behind him, Seoyoung was scrolling through his phone.

"Those bastards…

They've finally returned.

After being charged with bullying and causing my parents' death,

they fled to the United States through their fathers' influence,

and now they've come back…

happy, at ease."

Unaware that a monster had been waiting for them.

Arthur said in a calm tone, almost peaceful,

"Song… what do you think?

Will they leave you alone? Or…?"

Seoyoung answered with restrained anger,

"I did nothing to them.

My parents did nothing.

And yet they almost killed me… and killed my parents."

He clenched the phone tightly.

"And now, after all this, I'm certain…

they'll try to kill me to finish it."

Arthur smiled with quiet lethality.

"Tomorrow… the first person will come to kill you.

For now, let's get some rest."

Seoyoung set the phone aside and said steadily,

"Yes… brother."

The next day,

Arthur stood alone on the rooftop.

Then…

he saw a car stop in front of the inn.

A man stepped out of the car, closed the door behind him, and entered the inn with steady steps.

Arthur smiled faintly and remained standing in place, showing no interest.

Heavy minutes passed.

Then the second rooftop door opened.

There were two doors:

one leading to Song's room,

and the other leading up from below to the rooftop.

The man lifted his gaze and saw Arthur standing before him, motionless, showing no reaction to his presence.

The man hesitated, almost stepping back,

but Arthur smiled coldly.

"You bastard… do you know how long I've waited for you?

A whole hour… a damn hour, and you finally show up.

Damn you."

Arthur spoke in an angry, confident tone filled with open contempt.

The man was unsettled by his words and wondered inwardly:

Who is this?

Then he thought, sighing internally:

'Maybe he was sent by one of the high masters… he looks truly strong.

I don't understand why they care about a small child this much.

They bullied him, killed his parents, and now they want to bury him for good.

My God… I work under the orders of madmen.'

The man sighed, stepped forward, and reached for the handle of Song's room door.

But before he could touch it—

the door opened.

The room was dark…

empty…

eerily silent.

The man entered cautiously.

Then—

a violent crashing sound echoed.

The door slammed shut.

Arthur smiled calmly and turned slightly, continuing to gaze at the horizon as though nothing had happened.

---

About half an hour later…

The second man moved.

But this time, he saw no one on the rooftop.

All he saw was Song's room door open.

He stopped in place, and before his hand could move—

Boom!

A massive hand shot out from the darkness and tightened around his head.

With a single squeeze…

his skull shattered like a watermelon under a hammer.

A demonic smile appeared, and glowing red eyes shone from the heart of the darkness…

then everything vanished.

Arthur said, looking at Song,

"Song… get ready.

In a few hours, they'll all come."

Song raised his head, his voice steady yet charged.

"Brother… how do you know all this? Tell me."

Arthur answered calmly, composed,

"A lifetime of experience, kid.

Now… we'll fight together. Understood?"

Song nodded firmly.

"Yes… brother."

---

Four hours later…

Nineteen cars appeared.

All of them stopped in front of Song's inn.

Minutes later, nearly one hundred and twenty men gathered,

coming for one purpose: to kill Song.

About twenty-five of them climbed to the rooftop.

But before the door could open—

it was struck with overwhelming force.

The door exploded, pierced by the body of a massive muscular beast.

He was tall, his body tense,

his red eyes twisted,

his long white hair whipping violently.

It was… Song.

He leapt at them like a feral beast.

He struck one man with a single blow…

his skull shattered, fragments scattering through the air.

At that moment, Arthur stepped out of the room.

"Damn you bastards…

Six months…

six damn months without killing a single human."

He smiled with wicked exhilaration.

"And now… you are my food."

He leapt at them.

He struck the first…

then the second…

then the third.

He killed without hesitation, without mercy, with terrifying ease.

The two moved together…

like twins from hell.

Two unstoppable monsters.

They had only one focus:

killing.

Every time a man fell…

two more took his place.

After only five minutes,

Song's room was filled with corpses.

A heap of flesh and blood.

One man remained…

breathing.

Song grabbed him by the neck.

"Tell me where he is.

You have one chance."

The man trembled from fear and pain, then broke down and confessed, specifying the location.

Arthur smiled and looked at Song.

"Let's go.

We have a car downstairs… and we have a guide."

Song smiled.

He grabbed the man by his leg and dragged him behind.

Arthur walked in front.

They went down and got into the car.

The man sat behind the wheel,

Song beside him,

Arthur in the back.

Minutes later, they arrived at a hotel in the city center.

Song looked at the man.

"This is the place, isn't it? You didn't lie?"

The man trembled violently.

"Yes… yes… four of them are here now, I swear—"

He did not finish.

One strike to the neck.

His neck twisted violently, his body shook for seconds…

then he died.

Arthur killed him without any remorse.

He said with quiet lethality,

"We have four bastards here, Song.

We won't kill them now… we'll take them with us."

Then he added in a dark tone,

"As for anyone else…

they will be killed immediately."

He finished speaking, opened the car door…

and stepped out.
