Chapter 24: I'm just cleaning the shit out of my backyard. 2

The Kingpin honestly thought this day had been full of nonsense. Who exactly poked this monster with a short stick?

"Last words?" said the monster floating in front of him with his eyes glowing red.

"Just—."

His eyes fired, and Wilson Fisk turned into atoms. Sorry, but Wilson Fisk wasn't even worthy of having last words.

"You, come out of there." The monster raised his hand and pulled a man wearing a devil costume. He released the man, and the costumed devil looked at him.

"From today on, you are the new Kingpin."

"…?" The man's brain simply wasn't working fast enough to process so much nonsense.

When he understood what the man had said, he replied, "I refuse! I'm not a criminal! Leave this matter to justice, and you should do the same—."

Before he could continue, he heard:

"Don't be foolish, Daredevil. You know how justice works. Even though I exposed everyone's dirty secrets today, they will always find an excuse or a loophole in the law. You've seen it hundreds of times."

"Justice is flawed, and humans are stupid. The powerful do whatever they want and think they are untouchable. Unfortunately for everyone, I don't care. I just cleaned my territory today, and I don't want to see it dirty tomorrow morning. Therefore, you will be the one who takes care of everything so that the trash doesn't appear on the surface again."

"You will be the devil that keeps all criminals in line. Isn't that the job you were already doing? I just promoted you to a bigger game."

"What do you think?"

"I—."

"Remember, I don't necessarily need you. I can ask The Punisher. I know he would love to do this. Unfortunately, he is… too extreme."

"…Fine." He grumbled in his usual grumbling tone. He really didn't want to participate, but the man's idea had merit.

Honestly, Daredevil felt very confused right now. He had just seen the man he wanted to send to prison be evaporated, and now he was dealing with the monster who did it.

…But this monster was on the heroes' side, and he had heard what he did today. Although it was extreme and he didn't like it, the city had never been as clean as it was today.

Criminals were simply hiding in their rooms and were too afraid to go outside because the bogeyman was out there hunting them all.

"Perfect~." He smiled widely, showing his sharp fangs. "From today on, there will be no heinous crimes in New York and its surroundings. As Kingpin, you are responsible for keeping all criminals with their heads down. I don't even want to see their faces, not even smell them."

"Do you understand?"

"Yes." Daredevil nodded.

"Goooood." Adrian looked at the corner of the room, and with a gesture of his hand all the furniture disappeared. Then he snapped his fingers, and billions of dollars in cash were created.

"Don't worry, I didn't create money. I don't want to destroy the economy. All this money is from the mafias that I borrowed it from. Use it to help everyone involved in this matter…"

Adrian began giving instructions to Daredevil about what he should do. He even gave him various management knowledge and several memories of the Kingpin's enterprises.

In less than ten minutes, he gave the blind man a very broad crash course, and he learned everything thanks to telepathy.

"Your blindness is problematic…" With a touch on his shoulder, Adrian healed Daredevil's eyes and removed his mask.

"…My eyes…" It had been years since he saw normally.

Remodeling the mask so the eyes could be seen, he handed it back.

"You didn't lose your senses. I improved your physique a bit more. You're at Captain America's level now."

What Adrian didn't say was that he had immensely strengthened his mind. Even if Emma Frost herself were here, she wouldn't be able to read the man's mind.

The same doesn't apply to the red bird, since Jean can always use the Phoenix if she wants.

When Adrian was about to leave, he heard:

"Wait, do you think this is right? Acting like a god who judges everyone. Aren't you afraid of repercussions?"

Even though he was grateful for having his eyes healed, he still had doubts about the matter.

"Yes, I think so." He looked at Daredevil. "And no, I don't care. From the beginning, I know humans are foolish and idiotic. History is there to prove it to everyone. As my friend Albert Einstein said: two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the universe."

"I don't care what they say about me. I don't care what they think of me. I don't care if they think my actions are wrong or not. I do whatever I want, because I have the power to do whatever I want."

"Today's demonstration? It wasn't me being a hero. I was just annoyed because my backyard smelled like shit, so I cleaned the shit in the most efficient way possible."

Although he had entered a dilemma with the animals, it only gave him more determination to become as strong as possible. After all, only when he was strong enough could he do whatever he wanted.

As Doflamingo once said: Justice? Of course justice will win, because whoever wins will be justice!

"….." Daredevil felt his entire worldview clash with what Adrian had said.

"Don't be mistaken. There are heroes who could have done the same thing I did, like Wonder Man for example. But they are too trapped by their own justice, their ethics, or whatever nonsense they invent."

Or more precisely, the nonsense of comics. At the end of the day, comics are commercial products. If there is no villain, there is no story.

But Adrian didn't care about that. This was his reality, not some comic book.

"I don't have that dilemma. When I act, I act with maximum efficiency. If I can't eliminate the problem at its root, I will make the problem so small that it becomes insignificant."

Adrian threw a card to Daredevil.

"Keep in touch. And you don't need to thank me for fixing your blindness. After all, like Spider-Man, you are one of the few heroes I respect."

Just as he had entered, Adrian passed through the wall and left, leaving behind a very confused devil who needed to go to church to organize his thoughts.

"…Today was a long day." Matt sighed. "A hero he respects, huh…" He laughed.

Outside, some distance away, Adrian floated toward a man.

"What do you think?"

"Daredevil will interfere when it's time to pull the trigger."

"Yes, he's too soft. That's why I'm counting on you to keep an eye on things. Kill everyone with heinous crimes. Small crimes you can just arrest them for."

"Here, take this."

Adrian threw a lot of good stuff to The Punisher.

Pistols, rifles, miniguns, submachine guns, grenades—there was everything there. It was an arsenal that could supply a small country. All those weapons were normal, not futuristic versions he had seen in his past life.

He snapped his fingers and a truck appeared on the road, then he threw all the weapons into it.

"Now you're speaking my language." Punisher smiled.

"The white capsules are medical products. I call it Med-gel. Inhale the product and any injuries you suffered will be healed."

That was the only abnormal product. It was similar to the sprays from the Resident Evil games. Just apply a little and all wounds disappear.

"…That's practically magic." As a former soldier, he understood the value of that very well.

"This briefcase can only be opened and used by you, and—" Adrian touched his shoulder and gave him Captain America's physique while healing all his wounds. "I made you as strong as Captain America."

It was a pity that his story had already progressed so far. Adrian sighed. Just like Daredevil, he also respected The Punisher. If his family had been around, he could have helped him.

"Do a good job keeping the trash constantly going to hell, and I'll sponsor more."

Punisher looked at the floating man.

"…Leave it to me. I'll do the job properly."

"I know." Adrian smiled slightly, then shot toward the sky, causing sonic booms.

"…The world gets crazier every day… but at least there's someone like him to clean the trash. He's even more extreme than me."

He closed his hand and felt the power in his body.

"With this, I can kill more of that trash. He cleans the area around here. I need to go to other cities. Meanwhile I'll keep an eye on Daredevil."

Frank didn't even care how Adrian did it. The only thing he cared about was that now he had the power to send all the trash to hell.

"Venom, why did your art change!? You look like you came straight out of a Korean manhwa!"

"Kya, look at those muscles, that presence. Your art is much better than mine!"

"…." Even with his divine brain, it took him four seconds to understand everything Wade said, as well as the implications of what he said.

"He talked about my art… so I'm in a comic!?"

On the fifth second, he simply decided to stop thinking about it. After all, he didn't want to go crazy. Not even his super brain could deal with… whatever was inside Wade's head.

"Wade, I came to fulfill my promise." Adrian raised his hand.

Wade spoke with a serious look.

"…Are you for real? I thought it would take 100 chapters or something like that. The author is really spoiling you."

"Wade!" Adrian didn't want to think about it. He refused to think about it.

"What?"

"Take my hand!"

"I already have a girlfriend, but… I accept."

Wade grabbed his hand, and when he felt his body become lighter—

"Thank you, Adrian."

"You're welcome. Just do me a favor. Try not to accept commissions to kill innocents. I don't care about the trash you kill."

"…That's a small thing. My morals can be flexible like the skeleton woman's mood, but I never raise my gun at children. And now I should add innocents to the list."

He laughed amused while removing the mask, and soon the face of a Chad appeared.

To think Wade would be handsome without the cancer.

"Skeleton woman… that woman, right? …I still prefer DC's Death," Adrian thought.

"I adjusted your biology to accept your current body as normal, so you won't suffer from your body healing too much."

"…I didn't understand anything, but thanks, Adrian." He laughed.

"To celebrate, let's go to my house. Vanessa and I can—"

"Wade, stop."

"Fine…" He grumbled sadly, then asked, "You won't have copyright problems with that S?"

"It's just a random shirt." He shrugged and began floating. "I need to go. I have another promise to fulfill."

"If you need to kill someone, just call me…"

"In that case, I have a job for you. I'll pay 5 million dollars per month."

"…Just point me to the target." He spoke extremely seriously.

"Even money makes you serious, huh."

"It's 5 million, baby. I'm going to change my life!"

Adrian just laughed. He could offer more, since he could create money at will, but he knew Wade didn't use that much money anyway. If he needed more, he could increase it later.

"Your job is simple. Clean the occasional trash that always comes back. Contact the new Kingpin… or should I call him the King of Jailers now? Anyway, contact the new Big Boss and keep the city and surrounding areas clean. No criminals enter that place without you knowing."

"If any intelligence agency like SHIELD or something like that tries to interfere with you, just call me. I'll deal with it."

"Yes, Boss. Leave it to your henchman here. I'll keep everyone in line." He spoke very seriously.

"Goooood~." He said very satisfied.

"…." The two looked at each other for a few seconds, and then started laughing.

"Hahahahaha!"

"HAHAHAHA!"

Why were they laughing? Not even they knew, but it was fun!

"My brother, it's your turn! Sorry for the delay!"

"Awoo!" Jeff didn't mind at all. He jumped to the ground and looked at the facility with determined eyes.

[Hmmm… That was a good sleep. So, what did I miss?]

"You didn't miss much, brother. Just some inconveniences. How are you feeling?"

Venom came out from Adrian's back and looked around.

"I feel great! My weaknesses have been completely eliminated. I basically feel perrrfect!" he said with a sharp accent at the end.

"Hahaha, that's good news! Then you must be ready for the fireworks."

"Fireworks? Oh… this place."

"Indeed. It's time to fulfill my promise to our little brother. Right, Jeff?"

"AWooo!"

Adrian used his eyes together with telepathy to see if there were any innocents in that facility. When he saw that only a few soldiers didn't know anything, he simply put them to sleep and teleported them to the surrounding forest. They would wake up once the show ended.

"Jeff, everything's ready. Go for it, brother!"

Jeff's eyes began to glow with Storm's power. Soon the sky began forming massive clouds.

"Don't hold back!"

Jeff's body began shining with pure electricity in the next moment. He opened his mouth, and instead of the cute roar everyone was used to hearing, a roar came out like an Alpha predator descending upon the earth.

ROOOOOOOOOOOOAAAARRR!

A gigantic beam of energy shot out of his mouth and struck the facility. In the next moment thunder fell from the sky, and then a damn hurricane formed.

BOOOOOOM!

The explosion caused the hurricane to catch fire.

Adrian had to intervene, otherwise the tornado wouldn't stop growing. When he dispersed the tornado, what appeared before him was a massive crater.

"…Damn." He and Venom spoke at the same time.

"Dear diary, today my little brother became a threat!"

He and Venom laughed a lot seeing that scene.

"Awoo…!"

"…It's okay, buddy." He crouched down and patted the shark's head as small tears formed on its face.

"Leave the past behind. Don't hold onto it too much. You're stronger now, and you got your revenge. From today on, you will become even stronger, and anyone who tries to mess with you will have to deal with me and Venom. Right, Venom?"

"Hell yeah! Nobody messes with ours and gets away with it!"

"Awoo…" He wiped the tears from his eyes and then jumped onto Adrian.

"Let's go for a ride. The world is too beautiful to worry about those useless people."

"Awo!"

Jeff climbed up Adrian and settled onto his shoulder, clinging to it.
