"Leave the things here for now; send them to the garage later," Jiang Cheng told Sha Li.
"Sure thing! Just leave me your number—call me when you're ready and I'll bring them down."
Sha Li beamed as she walked Jiang Cheng and Su Wan out of the store.
After leaving his phone number and checking the items at the LV boutique, Jiang Cheng took Su Wan next door into Chanel.
Soft carpet, a dazzling crystal chandelier.
Bags that looked extravagantly gorgeous under the spotlights sat quietly on the display shelves.
As everyone knows, no girl can resist Chanel.
Jiang Cheng remembered both bags Su Wan had carried yesterday and today were Chanel.
Su Wan eyed Chanel and asked, "Do you like it? I don't think guys look good in Chanel."
"True, I can't appreciate their knitwear. Help me pick a bag—any of these you think look nice?"
Su Wan hesitated. "A ladies' bag? For your mom?"
She was afraid Jiang Cheng would give her another gift; after all, she hadn't done anything to deserve it.
"We'll see. If you had to choose, which would you like?" Jiang Cheng pressed.
Su Wan shook her head quickly. "I don't need to choose—I have bags of my own. When I land a role I'll buy one as a reward. You don't need to get me anything."
Seeing Su Wan on guard, Jiang Cheng burst out laughing.
It was clear she really didn't want to accept anything from him.
And Jiang Cheng rather admired her for it.
Whether she meant it or was just being polite.
At least on the surface, that's how it was.
When Su Wan saw Jiang Cheng smiling at her.
her heart fluttered for no reason.
A little shy, she said, "What are you staring at?"
"Looking at someone pretty. All right, help me pick two more mature bags for my mother."
Su Wan rolled her eyes, then nodded briskly. "That I can do."
In the end Su Wan chose two bags, and Jiang Cheng added a third.
At checkout Jiang Cheng found he'd spent over ninety-two thousand.
After shopping he didn't continue; it was still early, so he drove Su Wan back to her apartment.
At the building entrance Su Wan tentatively asked, "Want to come up for a drink?"
"Water?"
Su Wan's pretty eyes darted. "Wine works too—it's dinner time anyway."
Su Wan's favorability was only 75, just barely into the close-friend zone, not even at secret-crush level yet.
Jiang Cheng knew her invitation was just to test his intentions.
"Forget it. A guy has to stay clean and protect himself—if he gets drunk, girls might take advantage."
Su Wan burst out laughing at his narcissistic remark. "You're so full of yourself."
Jiang Cheng opened the trunk, took out one of the Chanel bags, stuffed it into her hand, then climbed into the back seat of the rolls-royce.
"I'm off. Get some rest—thanks for shopping with me today."
Su Wan stood watching the bag in her hand, then the departing rolls-royce, and gave a helpless smile.
Jiang Cheng had surprised her; she'd thought he'd at least come up for a while, but he really wasn't interested in anything more.
Su Wan: Favorability +5!
Seeing her favorability jump to 80 because of the gift, Jiang Cheng smiled.
As the saying goes, when a girl says "no," she means "yes." When giving a gift, don't ask if she wants it—just give it.
Eighty points meant secret-crush status; with a bit more effort, upgrading to intimacy was only a matter of time.
Once intimacy is reached, can the "hehehe" together be far behind?
After all, meeting a woman this "bowl-big" isn't easy.
Cherish her while you can.
Back at Luxury Hotel, his personal butler Wang Yuyan had already prepared his bath and tested the water temperature.
Her long black hair spilled behind her; a black fitted skirt perfectly outlined her curves.
With a warm smile she said, "Welcome home, Mr. Jiang. Your bath is ready—would you like to bathe now?"
Jiang Cheng thought: she might not match the glamorous Yu Xiaoxiao or the trendy star Su Wan, but in an ordinary school she'd still be campus belle material.
A private butler is essentially a senior Waitress handling travel and stay arrangements.
And they're basically on call 24/7.
"Not yet. I'll swim a few laps first—open a champagne for me," Jiang Cheng said with a smile.
