Cherreads

Chapter 303 - Not Greasy at all

"Well said. I thought I'd have to grit my teeth through the next four years, and now—bam—we're getting air-conditioning."

"What kind of divine classmate is this? First time I've realized rich people can actually be great—generous and drop-dead gorgeous."

"And he's so handsome. A guy this hot and this wholesome is in my school—how is that fair?"

"I finally believe in love at first sight. By the way, it's the middle of summer—why doesn't he look the least bit greasy? Even his hair's perfectly fresh."

"..."

Back in his own platoon, the boys of his class couldn't contain their excitement.

They charged straight at Jiang Cheng, clearly up to something.

Jiang Cheng dreaded awkward scenes like this; going on stage just now had already been pure torture.

He waved and shook his head. "Guys, stay calm. We're civilized people—no groping, please."

But no one was listening; students run on pure hormones, and right now they were on fire.

The tiniest thing could set them off, and they shrieked like crazy.

Jiang Cheng's words were white noise.

A dozen of them rushed him, grabbed his limbs, and tossed him into the air.

As they threw him they chanted, "Jiang Cheng, you rock!"

Jiang Cheng heard their cheers echo while all he could see was endless blue sky.

Nice—another perfect memory of youth.

After horsing around for ages, Jiang Cheng was finally rescued by Wang Jian, Lu Chuan, and Wu Kun and escorted off the field.

Back in the dorm, before he could DM Wang Congcong, someone @'d him in the group chat.

Wang Congcong: "@Jiang Cheng, just had tea in your headmaster's office—truthfully, the tea was awful."

He attached a screenshot of the donation receipt.

Jiang Cheng: "Suddenly turned into a bewildered hero—so this is where heroes come from."

Qin Fen: "We pooled ten million among the five of us—tiny token, hope you like it."

Wang Zheng: "Now Old Jiang can hang out with us anytime."

Qi Yuan: "Sweet. Brother Cheng, day after tomorrow bring your lamborghini reventón and let's hit the art college?"

Chen Hao: "Aren't you afraid every Girl will pile into Old Jiang's car?"

Qi Yuan: "Good point. I'll roll with Old Wang instead—my Ferrari next to his bugatti still has a shot."

Jiang Cheng: "Thanks, brothers. I'll host a feast to thank you all soon."

He accepted their gesture without hesitation.

They'd already done the deed, and it benefited him—no point refusing and embarrassing them.

Qin Fen: "No need for thanks between us."

Wang Zheng: "Good brothers keep it simple."

They dropped the topic—everyone understood.

Jiang Cheng knew they were simply returning the favor.

He typed: "Looking to buy some villas or big flats here—any recommendations, bros?"

Qin Fen: "Buy? I've got several—pick whichever you want."

The others @'d him one after another.

Jiang Cheng: "No, no, that won't do. Just point me to the good ones—best if they're in different compounds."

Why several places, and all separate?

Don't ask—Jiang Cheng's a stand-up guy.

Wang Congcong knew Jiang Cheng wasn't short of cash and would never take a free house.

A donation in his name, handled without his involvement, was the perfect gift.

And the gesture felt genuinely thoughtful.

Handing over property would probably be rejected.

Jiang Cheng had made them piles of money; returning the favor was only natural.

Ten million to the school already sounded huge, so they didn't add more.

Wang Congcong: "I'm living in the Kademao Mansion—great vibe. Tomson Riviera's overhyped, but their golf villas are decent."

Jiang Cheng chuckled: "@Wang Congcong, why not live in your own family's compound?"

Qi Yuan instantly jumped in to roast him.

Qi Yuan: "He wouldn't be caught dead in their middle-class estate."

Wang Congcong: "Stop smearing me. I'm keeping a low profile—living at home would cause headaches for the staff."

Qi Yuan: "Keep pretending. You're always out flaunting yourself—shows zero self-restraint."

Only Qi Yuan dared tease Wang Congcong like that.

Qi Yuan was right—Wanda Group does build homes.

But they're regular neighborhoods, not luxury.

If Wang Congconc cruised in and out in a rolls-royce, he'd be filmed daily.

Kademao Mansion was different.

Right in the heart of the city.

A playground for celebrities and tycoons.

At launch it already hit 130k per square meter.

Now the cheapest listing is 150k.

Only the ultra-rich live there.

Everyone's a VIP, so no one whips out phones for candid shots.

Life there feels refreshingly free.

Qin Fen: "Transfer and purchase limits—leave that to Brother Wang, his family's the expert."

Ignoring Qi Yuan, Wang Congconc @'d Jiang Cheng.

"Whenever you're ready, I'll view the places with you. There are other great spots besides these two."

Jiang Cheng: "Got it. Thanks, big shots."

With the housing issue sorted, Jiang Cheng happily grabbed his change of clothes and headed for the shower.

Tomorrow the dorm gets renovated—no longer livable.

And it's the last day of Military Training; everything's wrapped. Once he buys a place, he'll move straight out.
