Chapter 443 - I like my food a little salty

She looped her arms around Jiang Cheng's neck and said considerately, "I'm going to freshen up first; I prepared some desserts for you before we left—want a bite?"

"Mm… I'll save those for later. Right now I'd rather have something salty."

Wang Yuyan's mind didn't quite catch up; she asked, "What would you like? I'll whip it up right now…"

Jiang Cheng didn't answer; he simply smiled.

He lifted her and set her on the leather bench beside the bathtub.

Moments later Wang Yuyan's legs formed a perfect M. The next morning, after they got up, Jiang Cheng took her to the imported-car dealership they'd visited before.

Seeing the luxury cars behind the glass doors, Wang Yuyan instinctively paused for a few seconds before hurrying after him.

When Jiang Cheng strode confidently into the showroom, Wang Yuyan followed without a word, standing obediently at his side.

Her sensible behavior left Jiang Cheng both pleased and a little guilty.

What pleased him was that Wang Yuyan gave him a completely different flavor of romance.

Every woman around him had a wildly different personality.

Being with Wang Yuyan felt like a domineering CEO keeping a favored subordinate.

After all, she was almost always respectful and deferential toward him.

Even now, bringing her here, she didn't dare ask why.

The moment Zhou Hong saw Jiang Cheng walk in, he hurried over with an enthusiastic smile.

Last time Wang Cong had brought Jiang Cheng, Jiang Cheng had driven out in a lamborghini reventón, a porsche 911, and a bentley continental—

nearly twenty million in one go, paid in full.

In Zhou Hong's eyes, Jiang Cheng was a walking, talking Tycoon.

"Aiya, Young Master Jiang, welcome, welcome!" Zhou Hong gushed, obsequious and warm.

Jiang Cheng patted his shoulder. "Manager Zhou, how's business lately?"

"Thanks to you—after you bought those three cars last month, we exceeded our target. I've been looking for a chance to thank you properly."

Jiang Cheng let the flattery roll off him; he glanced around the showroom. "Any new stock?"

"Yes, yes—this way, please. We just got an Aston-Martin super-coupe, this McLaren 720S, and the Lamborghini big bull…"

Jiang Cheng eyed the trio; none of them felt right for Wang Yuyan.

The only remotely suitable one, the big bull, was in a drab gray.

He turned to her. "What do you think of these? Like any?"

Assuming he was buying for himself, she studied them and said, "I think the Aston and the Lamborghini suit you."

"Don't look at what I like—look at what you like. These don't feel right for you. Let's circle around again: if you were buying, which would you choose?"

When Jiang Cheng dismissed the three cars, Zhou Hong's smile never wavered; he stayed respectfully behind them.

Wang Yuyan couldn't quite parse Jiang Cheng's intent, but she didn't over-think it.

After scanning the hall she said, "If it were me, I wouldn't buy a super-car—I'd pick a sedan, more convenient. I rode in your porsche 918 and it was thrilling, but for daily use it seems impractical."

Super-cars are toys for the rich; upkeep is brutal and even the fuel bills are crippling.

Jiang Cheng asked Zhou Hong, "Do you have any sedans suitable for a woman?"

The instant the words left his mouth, Wang Yuyan's eyes flew wide as she stared at him.

Was he… buying a car for her?

After all, she'd just said she liked sedans.

Meeting her gaze, Jiang Cheng ruffled her hair. "Don't argue—just pick. Brother's loaded."

His playful words left Wang Yuyan deeply moved.

She had been the one to pursue Jiang Cheng, yet he'd always treated her with respect.

He'd never looked down on her or taken her for granted just because she'd made the first move.

Even now, gifting her a car, his tone was casual, like any boyfriend would use.

Understanding his care, she didn't feign refusal.

Although she was several years older, she still coyly cooed, "Thank you, big brother—you're the best."

That "big brother" from Wang Yuyan melted Jiang Cheng's bones.

Men claim they love older women, yet no guy can resist a pretty girl calling him "brother."

The endearment made him wave a magnanimous hand: "Pick whatever you want—today big brother's buying the whole lot."

Despite his grand offer, Wang Yuyan didn't go wild.

After looking around she settled on the most mainstream badge—Mercedes-Benz.

The white Mercedes CLS300 Luxury she chose cost just under nine hundred thousand all-in.

Jiang Cheng found the price oddly low; on the road it looked no different from a six-hundred-thousand car.

More importantly, he still had five mid-tier consumption cards in his system inventory—each rebated up to two million.

Using one on a nine-hundred-thousand car felt wasteful.
