Chapter 456 - Running Into Them

Thinking this, the manager immediately walked over to Jiang Cheng's side like a sycophant and asked again, "Mr. Jiang, I wonder if you have any suggestions regarding our service that could help us improve?"

Jiang Cheng was not a particularly picky eater, and he was very easygoing regarding the Waitress's service.

He then shook his head. "I think it's fine. I don't have high demands; just keep it up."

Since Jiang Cheng said so, naturally, none of the others raised any demands.

Seeing that they were satisfied with the restaurant's service, the manager couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief.

After all, these individuals were all wealthy masters.

If they could become regulars at the restaurant, it would be a significant boost to their performance.

"Thank you all for being satisfied with our restaurant's service. Our restaurant also has a rather special feature: there is a moutai exhibition hall on the side terrace. Various vintages of moutai and other types of liquor are displayed there. If you're interested, you're welcome to take a look."

After the manager finished speaking, everyone was quite interested.

After raising their glasses for a drink together, they stood up and walked toward the terrace outside.

They saw a small glass house built by the terrace.

Inside, various kinds of expensive liquors were displayed, most of which were moutai.

Just as they reached the door, they discovered that two people were already inside looking around.

One of them was clearly Wen Ang.

Wen Ang was currently speaking flatteringly to a middle-aged man in a suit, "Uncle Zhang, I've heard that your alcohol tolerance is excellent, so you must have tasted many fine liquors. Unlike me, I get a bit dizzy after just two glasses and end up drunk before I can even taste the wine."

Hearing Wen Ang's flattery, the middle-aged man said very happily and complacently, "You guessed right on that. I usually like to drink a bit of moutai. I've taken a look, and the liquor here is indeed very good, the vintages are excellent, and the taste should be quite authentic."

The intention behind the middle-aged man's words was very obvious.

Hearing this, Wen Ang immediately understood and said, "Uncle Zhang is indeed knowledgeable and experienced. Someone like me wouldn't be able to appreciate even the finest liquor; in short, it would just be a waste."

"By the way, I've met the owner of this shop a few times. He often tries to sell me his liquor, but unfortunately, I don't have the palate for it. Even the best things are wasted on me."

"The owner is a very nice person and has helped me out before. Since his place just opened, it wouldn't feel right not to bring him some business. This is perfect; since you're an expert, Uncle Zhang, these bottles I'm buying won't go to waste. This way, I can repay his favor without wasting anything."

The middle-aged man looked at Wen Ang meaningfully for a moment before laughing and saying, "You kid, you certainly know how to handle people. You're right; if someone has helped you, you truly must keep it in mind."

Walking in front, Jiang Cheng watched the scene before him.

He raised an eyebrow at the others.

Everyone knew that Wen Ang had recently started taking risks for his family's affairs, resorting to bribery.

They didn't expect to stumble upon it so soon.

Jiang Cheng turned to them and said, "To be able to describe bribery in such a refined and unconventional way, this guy is quite the talent."

Wang Congcong nodded in agreement. "I have to say, if it were me, I wouldn't be able to come up with so many twists and turns."

Seeing this, Chen Hao said excitedly in a low voice, "This... I didn't expect us to run into this. Should we go in and add a bit of drama for him??"

Jiang Cheng shook his head and said meaningfully, "Definitely not. Why add drama? Such a great opportunity has presented itself. If his bribery wasn't succeeding, we'd have to find ways to help him. Looking at him now, it seems to be going quite smoothly. We should be happy for him."

After Jiang Cheng finished speaking, the others suddenly realized his meaning.

Qin Fen was the first to nod. "Old Jiang is right. We had only heard that he was trying to pull strings for bribery, but now it's fallen right into our laps. We don't even need to secretly clear the way for him. Although this person's position isn't high, if Wen Ang connects with him, he should be able to find other connections."

Although they had lowered their voices...

...the people inside still noticed their arrival.

Seeing other guests arrive, Wen Ang and the middle-aged man both turned around to look at them.

Seeing that the newcomers were Jiang Cheng and his group, a hint of hostility immediately rose in Wen Ang's eyes.

However, because the middle-aged man was present, Wen Ang quickly suppressed his expression.

He even nodded and smiled at Jiang Cheng and the others with a gentle look.

Wen Ang took the initiative to greet them with a smile, "What a coincidence. I didn't expect you all to come here for dinner too?"

Upon hearing Wen Ang, several of them couldn't help but frown in disgust.

To avoid ruining Wen Ang's plan, everyone remained silent.

Seeing that Wen Ang knew Wang Congcong and the others, the middle-aged man had no intention of getting acquainted. Instead, as if to avoid suspicion, he said to Wen Ang, "The meal is almost finished, and I have some business to attend to. I'll head back to the private room to make a phone call. You guys chat."

Hearing this, Wen Ang once again put on a very flattering smile. "Alright, Uncle Zhang. Please go ahead with your business; I'll be back in a moment."

After the middle-aged man left in a hurry, Wen Ang's gentle expression instantly changed.

Chen Hao asked Wen Ang with a grin, "Oh, what a misfortune. Isn't this the famous Young Master Wen? I wonder if you've heard the rumors about you lately? They're quite popular."

Wen Ang and Chen Hao originally had no grievances, but recently, the Chen family's suppression of the Wen family had become the most apparent.

A grudge had officially been formed between the two.

Last time at the bar, Wen Ang had originally wanted to get to know them.

However, he had been humiliated by them for no reason.

Since Qi Yuan was present at the time, Wen Ang eventually swallowed his anger.

Wen Ang naturally knew that Chen Hao was intentionally humiliating him.

He didn't know who had spread the news about his "little chicken" poisoning, but it had become common knowledge in their circle.

Now, whenever he went to a bar, all the young ladies who used to surround him and call him Young Master Wen avoided him.

He had now reached both physiological and social death.

Seeing Chen Hao touch upon his sore spot, Wen Ang immediately dropped all pretenses and glared at him fiercely, saying, "Chen kid, don't think I don't know about the little tricks you're pulling behind my back. Let me tell you, don't get too ahead of yourself. Once I've handled these matters, I'll make you pay."

Qin Fen interjected from the side, "Yo, yo, yo, you're getting cocky, aren't you? Believe it or not, we'll slap the hell out of you today."

Wen Ang was currently in a fit of rage, and he knew that Chen Hao, Qin Fen, and Wang Zheng were all together.

He snorted coldly, "Does Young Master Qin really think he's the emperor of shanghai? This is the mainland, not some Casino City. If you want to slap me, you'd better check where you are."

Seeing Wen Ang become so arrogant, Wang Congcong held back Qin Fen, who was about to charge forward, and looked at Wen Ang with a cold snort. "Who are you calling 'Laozi' like that? Do you even know your place?"
